IMHO Crawford should have been disqualified and Khan declared the winner OR the fight declared a NC. Also the clown dressed up in the referee suit should get in the long line of refs and boxing judges to be investigated - and drug tested too -but that line already stretches out on to the street and around the block! Put those shill announcers on the line too.
Twenty five years ago this may have been a possibility. Instead now we are in an age where we can't seem to find a single politician with any integrity left, hardly a single whistleblowing journalist left, and meek announcers / presenters.
All of them seem terrified of losing the gig. Puppets riding the gravy train. Sure there's still a few willing to speak up such as Montero, Malignaggi and Atlas - but they're voices are currently being pushed out further and further to the periphery.
Even here in the UK there's very little outcry over the ending of the fight. The focus switched almost immediately to the question of Khan quitting instead of the ridiculous low blow which Crawford initially denied happening! As for a full five minutes recovery - when has that ever happened?
It didn't change the result but there was still a fight on. Where's the criticism/ punishment of landing a punch that far below the belt? Nothing borderline about it.
Come back Howard, come back Harry.
