According to BoxRec, Dave is ranked #22 in the world and I would pick every single one of the 21 guys above to beat him if they fought. I'd even pick Helenius who is carrying numerous injuries. Almost all of the guys in the top 50 beat him, so the matchmaking needs to be risk vs reward. Anyone with a name of a decent title. Price or Briggs, then Charr for me. Another fight I like for him is Adamek, who would bring in a load of Polish fans, especially in London.

I'm really enjoying Dave Allen's journey, but it ain't gonna last too long.

I know, but he ain't going to morph into Evander Holyfield. Even at British level, Joyce, Gorman, Dubois and Hughie all beat him. I would have Price as a heavy favourite to beat him.

He'll take out Price. With his durability, if he learns his craft a bit, he'd be a whole hellava lot better and could be a force on the UK scene at the very least.

I'm not so sure he will beat Price. He doesn't even move his head.

Price is pretty much shot, but is still capable of landing a big punch on a stationary target.

It’s probably been at least 18 months where I’ve not just muted a sky show as soon as Smith comes on. He’s brutal

Price hasn’t actually knocked out anyone above journeyman level since 2012!

He’s not the puncher he once was.

But he didn’t, so hasn’t knocked out any type of rated boxer in 7 years .
Allen has , Price isn’t a puncher that much anymore.
