I wish women's boxing would use same parameters as men's, at least in terms of three minute rounds and no tops!!! :OhYes:

Katie Taylor (13-0, 6 KOs), Bray, Ireland, 134½ pounds vs. Delfine Persoon (34-1, 18 KOs), Roeselare, Belgium, 130½ pounds, 10 rounds for Taylor’s IBF, WBA and WBO and Persoon’s WBC women’s lightweight titles.

Katie is a class fighter and humble as anything . Won't lie haven't seen her oppo.but on paper she is the real deal.ka but it will take a brilliant fighter to beat Taylor.Gwan Katie

I agree it was a close fight. Maybe could have gone either way.

But on everyone’s first watch. Seems like majority had Delfine winning that.

Agree with this, thought Persoon was hard done by and Froch backtracked on his robbery comment directly after the fight.

Honestly I just don't care about the vast majority of tiny little boxers or lady boxers and this was both, BUT Katie Taylor definitely lost. She is the real winner in the Ruiz v Joshua fight as that will distract people from the scandalous result.

Personally, a draw would have suited well, despite having Katie one point up. She boxed better but got physically outmatched by Delfine. Last round could have been a 10-8 for Persoon, or the ref could have made a standing count

Best fight on the card, Taylor has been evolved in a few crackers in her short career and this was another one.

Although Taylor looked the classier boxer of the two, Persoon was very busy and outlander Taylor in most of the rounds.

Persoon looked too big and strong for her.

If I bumped into Persoon in a dark alley I would hand over my wallet and run like f**k, I would fancy tangling with her.

Yeh. A standing 8 count or a 10-8 would have had Delfine the winner, rightly.

Taylor lost the fight and should have had the integrity to admit it in the post fight interview.

Persoon put her heart and soul into the fight and clearly won. She got robbed, plain and simple. It was a disgusting sequence of events and leaves a sour taste in the mouth when it comes to Taylor, Hearn and DAZN.

Absolute scumbaggery to f*ck over an honest pro like that who worked her entire life for that moment. Every day of training culminated into that fight and she won the fight and got well and truely screwed by the judges. I don't blame Taylor for that but I do think Taylor needs to show some integrity here and admit she lost the fight.

Best female fight I've seen, by a fair distance as well. Persoon deserved the decision.
