I wonder if Kov is in more trouble in California than we know with that assault on the girl.knockout wrote: ↑26 May 2019, 18:33 It’s a strange one! No one has ever thrown money to help Kovalev before, so it seems odd that they would suddenly pay Yarde 10x more than he is worth as a mandatory challenger ! If you had that kind of money in Russia you would presumably make a unification fight with One of the other champions ( especially the Russian ones) which would be a far easing fight to sell!
It just seems odd ! Kovalev has shown no fear of travelling before ... so just let it go to purse bids and get Yarde for a couple of hundred thousand !

Yeh. Gotta question, if they’re paying Yarde so much, how much are they gonna lay Kov?knockout wrote: ↑26 May 2019, 18:33 It’s a strange one! Is the event even gonna be profitable?
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
ya or maybe that number for yarde was just a rumor and not true? it was all very vague and hardly backed by a bunch of legit sources as being real
maybe someone from yardes team put it out there to big up themselves 'look bruh we such huge money makers bruh, that floyd life'

FW was expecting the announcement last Mon - still waiting.....is the money really there for the fight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 May 2019, 18:02 Not long until the supposed 29 June date. Anyone still reckon it can happen?
I’m only assuming both boxers are training already.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
If Yarde only gets a million rather than 4, he should jump at it, he will be set for life.
Like Fielding v Canelo, and of course Canelo is a harder fight.

Tunde has been posting cockteasing tweets for weeks now, its getting boring, announce the fight or STFU
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
If he was in serious legal trouble I doubt they would let him leave the US with any legal action pending ?

Only be confirmed if yarde & tunde are truly off their heads
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
Was meant to be announced nearly a fortnight ago - wonder if the money to hold it in Russia hasn’t appeared.hitman_hatton1 wrote: ↑29 May 2019, 08:54 not been confirmed yet?

No way does yarde get paid a purse of four million quid. I doubt he'll get 400k, regardless of where the fight takes place.

So WBO May not strip him?
Yarde should enter it.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
Getting boring and so is Tunde, time to shut up and put up! Fed up of being told how great Yarde is and how Tunde keeps saying he will win by KO.....

A light-heavyweight WBSS would be decent
Imagine say the 4 champs, Alvarez, Browne, Yarde & winner of Barrera/Hart

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - 29 June 2019?
“They haven’t announced it,” allegedly, Yarde’s promoter declared incredulously during a recent interview with IFL TV. “We’ve asked time and time and time again. We have signed for that fight to take place in June in Russia. We signed the agreement. We’re waiting as we sit here, for them to tell us what the hell is going on.”
“There’s things going on that can’t be discussed,” suggested Warren. “For us, Anthony Yarde—we signed the contract. Yes, we’re on. Both sides are signed. But I’m not the promoter. There’s a problem, not on our end but their end. Although for this fight, their problem becomes our problem.”
“It’s frustrating,” notes Warren. “In order to go to Russia, we have to get an invitational letter. We haven’t got none of that. We’ve got nothing.
“Anthony Yarde signed up for VADA testing. He fulfilled his part contractually. We’re not hanging around (past) this week without a plan.”
