This was a great read. Mr Creed should have won a ton of money with this call. Historical OP.

I don't have the right to be anything other than respectful to the OP who said not to underestimate Ruiz

The OP has the right to throw it in people's faces as several posters mocked him for suggesting Ruiz even had a chance, he'd need to hit AJ with the stool, etc. It's a clear a case of justified gloating as I have seen

I already agreed didn't I? For the record I said it'd be a tougher fight than most were predicting although I did pick Joshua to win in 7 or was it 8.

Tbh It's a real pity that EO didn't make a mocking-'enlighted' comment about how of a 'mismatch' could be this fight when I started this thread! lol Now it would've been pure comedy gold. :OhYes:

EO is stalking only my GGG threads. :OhYes:

Some of us have already done so.

This isn't confined to just boxing or sport.

This is global news. The tremors will take days to settle.

In the meantime we can always reread some of the pre fight posts for amusement.

I didn't think Ruiz stood a chance until I seen them in the ring for a solid round. I've watched some of Ruiz's fights and I just didn't think he could hang with AJ. With that being said, after the first round you could see Ruiz was the smarter fighter and could neutralize AJs jab with fast hands and good countering. Ruiz did everything right, short of getting caught in the 3rd round, for that I applaud him, it was magnificent.

No excuses for AJ. The fact is, when you trade with a puncher no matter the scenario, you make the fight 50/50. AJ did terrible fighting at range, his jab was super slow, he wasn't doubling up on it, it was hard to watch. AJ had nothing after the 3rd round, he never fully got his legs back and there were times he looked like he could barely keep his hands up. This type of schooling reminded me of when Jeff Lacy went across the pond and got battered by Calzaghe, except reversed. Let's make no mistake, from the start of the bell Ruiz was the better fighter

To fully enjoy my moment of glory I'd like to put these great song lyrics and have my "Tyson Fury-esque moment"! :D

Don't want to close my eyes
I don't want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing

Thank you! :OhYes: :salut:

Good call Creed. But you said it would be competitive. It almost wasn't. AJ didn't do enough.

It is what it is. At the end of the day this is boxing/not bodybuilding or WWE and logically the better skilled boxer should win. Of course that a fighter with a Greek God's body who trains very 'scientifically' and who has some T/KO wins could be very deceiving.

Good call! Another chubby guy that I expect great things from is Kownacki.

Exactly, can't wait to see Kownacki vs Wilder and then likely Ruiz vs Kownacki for the undisputed heavyweight champion....
Two days ago this scenario was a joke, but just during the night it became much more realistic

Ruiz V Dillian Whyte would be a better fight fight than the rematch with AJ

The fatties revenge! I didn't think Kownacki was a joke. I think Kow would swarm Wilder and destroy him just like he did Washington. All Wilder has is a big punch from long range. I expect him to go down too.
