Showboating, it was not. What would have happened if he had faced Avanesyan in december, like this?

Prancing about like that is not going to work at world level. Drawing with the Robinsons says it all.

Kelly has never heard of the word "jab".

agreed, looked like a total tit, its one thing if you can keep that up and keep winning up the levels, but doing that at this level and drawing just is fruity

total vanity fighter, from his nickname to all the showboating. he probably cares more about how 'cute' and 'flashy' he looks then his actual meaningful work during the fight

Kelly, more style than substance, first came to mind but that does not describe his effort' His style will not get him very far as it lacks power and the ability to throw combinations. Back to basics, he is still young enough to make his mark. I thought he lost that fight.

True that Jammy :TU:
I put some blame on his team and coach.
1, he does not sit down on his punches
2, he throws too few combinations
3, he showboats
All that can be corrected, and needs to be, by a coach that can install discipline and professional boxing fundamentals. He could be a world champion, but I think he will get KO'ed when he steps up.

Kelly is one of those boxers who prove being sharp with quick reflexes doesn't mean your skilful, I can see him losing at British level if in with the right style of opponent, a busy brawler would give him kittens

Obviusly he does have some skill at some level, his amateur exploits prove that but he's nowhere near as good as he or his team thinks he is, maybe another Khan type where his speed covers his lack of ring IQ

What really worrys me he completely ignores his jab, someone like Shawn Porter would walk straight through him.

i thought kelly boxed well for his biggest fight, did slack off show boat when not needed, i thought he won but it is what you like i guess , but he will improve, these are the fights he needs cause robbo is a legitimate fighter
