In reality GGG has won every fight.

Lest you forget:

Adalaide Byrd, Las Vegas, NV ... 110-118

Adelaide is STILL adjudicating fights for the mob in Las Vegas. Her last gig was in May at T Mobile Arena.

It's ridiculous to call the rematch a robbery. Very close fight that was fairly judged.

I agree. I scored it a draw real-time. Could have gone either way, but you, me and every boxing fan on Earth knew that it would go to Gingerhead. :OhYes:

This is following the full on robbery of the first fight (which was put off as long as Gingerhead’s reputation could stand in order to age 3G), a PED violation leading up to the original rematch date, and a superficial penalty.

After stacking the deck for Gingerhead, they stack it again.

Press poll results after the second fight: only 4% had Canelo winning. In case of draw, Golovkin would still have his belts.

Good for them. Press is no authority. I bet the majority had it 115-113 either way or a draw. It was a close fight.

... and in case of a close fight, a champion is supposed to keep his belts.

In case you need reminding, each round is scored individually and at the end of the fight each judge's scores are tallied individually.

The scoring of rounds should not be influenced by the crowd noise, facial damage or the the events that occurred during previous rounds.

The judges are supposed to be impartial and not favour either fighter, regardless as to whether they’re: the champion, the challenger, the favourite, the underdog, the hometown hero or the road warrior. :TU:

I have heard that rationale since I was in intermediate school. Never could quite figure out how that works if the official rbr scoring goes against the belt holder in a close fight.

How would that be done? “Timeout, we have a close decision for the challenger so we are going back and doctoring the cards. This will take a minute or ten.” :maybe:

Are you suggesting that all close rounds should go to the belt holder? If so, how would that work if Wilder were to fight TFKoB next? Would the Mexican-American be awarded 3 out of 4 close rounds?

Championship level boxing is supposed to be scored as 12 individual battles, not as one piece of work. Maybe you should try to get the rules changed to give the boxer with the most belts a one or two round cushion. :maybe:

Of course, Gingerhead enjoys that entitlement already.

No need to go back. There are always close rounds which can go either way, so normally they would be given to a champion, but obviously not in case when his opponent is a cash cow like Canelo.

He ducked Ward.

Never took risks in his career, the fight vs Froch in 168 was another fight that was easy to make.

And there is a list of 50 former champions or profesional fighters that had Canelo winning.

ggg vs ward seems like a fight that really never was going to happened or naturally led to each other, i think its a total sham as far as either ducking the other, ward wouldve won almost every round if they did fight though

No. This is not in the rules.

In theory, an evenly-contested round is scored 10-10, not automatically awarded to the champion.

Alternatively, a very close round should be awarded to the fighter that had the very slight edge over their opponent.

No wonder you always feel outraged and keep accusing the judges of being corrupt and biased, since you don’t know how to score fights.

In your mind, GGG shouldn’t have lost any closely-competitive round, which is simply wrong.

By your own admission, you’re a die-hard fan of GGG’s and still consider him as being the champ, which means you’ll actively look to for excuses (or any weak justification) to award any moderately competitive rounds to Golovkin, even when those that are objectively-minded would have either scored them even or favoured his opponents’. :shame:

The only ones that should matter are the written rules the judges are supposed to follow.

115-113 to Canelo

GGG face was destroyed, GGG was too precavide, Canelo landed better.shots and was better in defense
