Me: Are you going to Vegas for the Fury fight?
Him: No. Tyson'll be the only Gypsy from Britain going.
Me: Why?
Him: Coz he's the only one without a criminal record.
Made me chuckle.

If he was fighting Kabayel I may have attended, since I will be in town.

Eff me, Fury has absolutely romped it with that ESPN deal! Good on him. Whoever is signing the cheques for that network must be a numerically illiterate nutcase. A lottery win for fighting Tom Schwartz. Crazy, easy money.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Tom Schwarz - 15 June 2019
Peter Kadiru is only fighting for $1000? I think he's a salary fighter for SES as well, he's highly thought of in Germany.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 07:01 Per Nevada State Athletic Commission, official contract purses for Saturday night’s Top Rank on ESPN+ card at the MGM Grand:

Who knows. The purses listed by the US commissions aren’t always final. The bout is probably be aired in Germany, if he’s on TV there he might get more.

Thoughts on Fury's weight? 18st 11 is a fair bit heavier than his recent fights, though he looked in good nick. Trying to finally put some muscle on that beanpole frame?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Tom Schwarz - 15 June 2019
Yeah, it's free to air in Germany on a regional channel which has a contract with Schwarz. Quite random.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 08:58 Who knows. The purses listed by the US commissions aren’t always final. The bout is probably be aired in Germany, if he’s on TV there he might get more.

Or mine. Just saying.

One of the running jokes through the Alan Partridge series, alongside Alan’s past addiction to Toblerone when he was “clinically fed up” was him telling people about his “fat back”.

Joe Louis' lineal title was on the line against a 3-3-0 (1) opponent.
