You might as well say that Marty Marshall was the lineal champion.

Not to mention that Ruiz isn't even the lineal champion now. That mythic title is currently vacant.

Well he already got a shot at Joshua which he had to pass up on account of injury. Replaced by Takam as you know.

He is now the official mandatory again and probably would have been Joshua's next defence if AJ hadn't let Andy Ruiz tear up the script. Either way Pulev won't be waiting too long - you know what the IBF are like.

I'd save your sympathy for Dillian Whyte who will probably make the Guiness Book of Records for being the number one contender (WBC) for the longest time without being granted a title shot.

Pulev strikes me as being expert in picking opponents that are at least semi-respectable and relevant, yet unlikely to cause him too many problems. When was the last time Pulev was involved in a tough fight (other than having a bad cut thus needing a quick stoppage) or fought anyone sufficiently good to test whether he is still worthy of his high ranking?

Slim the professional boxing expert for the defendant, Mr Andrew Ruiz, has deliberately evaded the question about why he thinks Mr. Ruiz, the defendant, clearly , as he put it, defeated the plaintiff, my client, Mr Liakhovich, who, ladies and gentlemen and other miscellaneous genders of the jury, I submit in actuality defeated Mr Ruiz and thus in reality is the true lineal heavyweight champion of the world!
I submit M'Lord I have already answered the question: He was the one doing the pressing - somewhat laboriously I admit.

He outpunched Liakhovic about three to two. That's not a ratio by the way, that's an approximation of the punches landed in the whole fight ;-)

If my learn-ed colleague wishes to continue this increasingly tedious and desparate attack on my client, I submit he should produce a witness from the forum to attest to the truth of his statement that Liakhovic did, in his opinion, win the fight.

Rumor is they are considering Shields since Persoon has a bit too much pop to risk.

Ha ha!

Your honor, in response to my learned but bamboozling colleague's suggestion I request an adjournment of the court until I can br - I mean locate - a witness from the forum who is brave enough to stand by his honest convictions and testify before this court that my client, Mr. S. Liakhovich, is the real heavyweight champion.

Your honor, sir, I request that Attorney Conman - excuse me, Candy - Slim be removed from this case for attempting to exceed his authority, and also Greg be removed from the courtroom for interfering with the proceedings by us learned attorneys, namely me.
