Question A: How are the rankings affected by
My vote: No change.
Question B: How are the rankings affected by
My vote: No change.
To me, it was certain that they wouldn't get voted in by most and that is why i didn't included those fights. I think though that Joyce and Dubois have a decent chance to get the majority so i made the topic on their fights.joshj909 wrote: β14 Jul 2019, 05:36 Joyce reluctantly to 15.
The cards, the point deduction and the commentary was atrocious but he edged the win against a decent opponent in Jennings.
Not for me, but Washington's win over Helenius and Yoka's win over Dimitrenko might affect some people's rankings in addition to these two![]()
True, didn't think about it needing the majority to make an impactdagilechia wrote: β14 Jul 2019, 05:47To me, it was certain that they wouldn't get voted in by most and that is why i didn't included those fights. When you think a number 40 ranked fighter fighting a number 50 ranked fighter should affect the top 15 there is something wrong. You need to isolate this straight away or you will create a mess. just stick to fights where one is in the 15.dagilechia wrote: β14 Jul 2019, 05:47To me, it was certain that they wouldn't get voted in by most and that is why i didn't included those fights. that's what i wanted to do but since most of the posters said that we should also vote on some decent fights between fighters that are outside the top 15 we'll do that from time to time, this will not happen too often. btw, how the fighters are ranked on boxrec doesn't really matter, Heredia was ranked above Dubois and Teper, Stiverne, Arreola, Browne, Molina, Kean were ranked above both Dubois and GormanLennox wrote: β14 Jul 2019, 06:42When you think a number 40 ranked fighter fighting a number 50 ranked fighter should affect the top 15 there is something wrong. isn't that because there are no more than 10 decent fighters in this division?KiwiRider wrote: β15 Jul 2019, 05:26 No change.
Cripes it's crap past #10 on our list.
Dubois needs another decent couple of wins before consideration.
Joyce one more around the same level and he could sneak in.
If Allen does an impressive number on Price, I would like to have him in at the bottom![]()
That win has completely lost its value now, and as you mentioned, when you ignore the Mansour fight due to the circumstances, his next best win is Molina. Even Jennings has a better win than that. This was definitely a chance for people to drop Breazeale from the rankings for a more worthwhile boxer in Joyce, Dubois or maybe even Yoka, even if they don't think they are top 15 themselves.Heretic wrote: β18 Jul 2019, 01:14 They are both so green still.
Jennings would have been good win but Joyce just didn't impress in that one. If you go back and count all the clean punches landing in that fight I think there is even argument for Jennings winning the fight.
I had Joyce winning but the match was actually really close one. Jennings just didn't too enough. Maybe he felt the power and got scared?
I voted Dubois in just because I rank him higher than Breazeale who I think should not be on the list. Hes win over Izu doesen't seem so good anymore and I never gave him much credit for beating Mansour the way he did.
Dubois at least is bit of an unknown quantity at this moment. He looked great against Gorman and many people here were picking Gorman before the fight.
