A good win for Whyte. He comfortably outboxed Rivas with jab and movement. He also showed a great heart after Rivas caught him. Rivas was too hesitant. He won the 1st round, but after he got bullied in the 2nd he became too cautious and was pressing without punches. I gave Rivas only three rounds: 1, 7, 9 (the 10-8 one).

Whyte deserved it. Rivas won 2-3 rounds tops, including the KD round. But he is a tough fighter, i can give him that.

Dillian Whyte looked deeply impressive tonight. I expected a much more competitive affair with Rivas.

Some of the rounds were close but it was Whyte’s fight.

Andy Ruiz would beat him. Hell, i'd bet on Pulev to beat him. i'd favour Parker in rematch. Povetkin and Ortiz would beat him too if they're still not too old. some say he's clear #4/5, i don't think so.

Rivas was tough, but as I expected, he has pulled another "Joseph Parker" out of his hat. "Rerl tytl" challenge incoming.

This win was a really decent one.
Rivas is as dangerous as they come. Whyte controlled it from R3 to the end. The KD was a light one and Whyte came back in that round and stamped authority in the following round.

I don't know why Rivas didn't go for broke in the last round, and then the ref killed another few seconds at the end admonishing them about something or other. Whyte's jab made the difference.

Well it's another case of a chubby guy beating a guy with a bodybuilder's bod, tho not nearly as extreme as the famous one.

Now they tell me, after I wasted years trying to get the last bit of fat off my midsection!

Nobody overrated whyte. They just think he deserves a title shot which he does. Hes on a nice run and light years better than guys like brezeale or Schwartz or takam

Absolutely true, Baldomir was once 'the man's too. I will always recognize it, doesn't mean I have to think they're the best. I've been massively wrong about fat boy, might be again.
