"Champ" only by knocking out Charles Martin. Doesn't help your argument much. It's not exactly Bowe beating Holyfield, or Douglas beating Tyson etc.samwbr wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:03Obviously there is but Joshua was world heavyweight champ after less than 20 pro fights and not that many amateur either. He knows a few things clearly and is also well coached. All the talk about Ruiz was how well schooled he is after extensive amateur experience.overhand_right wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 14:55
Yes and we all go to school but some kids are clever and some kids are thick, even in the same class room getting the same education. Do you not see that some fighters have a natural advantage in that they can do something instinctually in the ring that doesn't come naturally to other fighters?

Really can't argue with you on your points.thechump wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:31AJ can beat Ruiz but its how he fights,if he is cautious he will get knocked out but if he fights to his own strengths, keeping it tall and taking his timr he can beat Ruiz he could even k.o him but im leaning towards a Ruiz k.o middle to late rounds. Tbh iv lost all respect fo AJ after his pulling down of LL,Lewis gets asked questions about the heavyweight landscape all the time,no need to get butt hurt.oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:18
You might be right, but something inside my feeble mind thinks a overly cautious 12 round decision for AJ is a possibility. I have some doubts that AJ can stop Ruiz, unless Andy isn't able to maintain his dedication and determination. Remember Buster Douglas lost his edge and gained a ton of fat after beating Tyson. I know you know that. My leaning is a repeat of the first fight.

who do people want to win , have a poll and i'll make sure , fighter with the highest votes wins ,, how do i do that easy , i'll just predict a win for the loser

Re: AJ on Lennox Lewis?
What? You said AJ winning the title in 20 fights was evidence he was a good fighter, and I was pointing out that he beat Charles Martin, which isn't evidence of any quality at all.samwbr wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:38They should have waited is what you suggest to get some bizarre notion of respect off the internet?overhand_right wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:34
"Champ" only by knocking out Charles Martin. Doesn't help your argument much. It's not exactly Bowe beating Holyfield, or Douglas beating Tyson etc.Absolute bullshit. Its professional boxing you take your opportunities when they arise. Insane not to do so.
Re: AJ on Lennox Lewis?
His title defenses, and unifications were definitely over better guys than Martin though. Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin obviously are significantly better than Martin.overhand_right wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 19:04What? Povetkin, Parker (who'd beat Ruiz), Whyte, Wlad, Takam.......I mean his resume is defo top stuff in today's division. But I get that he's actually a total pathetic bum now.

LOl I mean one of them even beat Ruiz, was a close fight but certainly a defendable decision.gilgamesh wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 19:06His title defenses, and unifications were definitely over better guys than Martin though. Re: AJ on Lennox Lewis?
Tyson’s isn’t but he clearly isn’t half as disturbed as he makes out. The evening with stuff is scripted. I know a guy really well who went to Denmark with him for an Issac Lowe fight who said he’s completely normal! I think he got really upset at the lack of recognition for beating Wlad and lost all motivation.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:02 It’s weird because the most manufactured personality I’ve seen lately is Tyson Fury.
Attend an evening with him...he’s full of nonsense. Genuinely had me questioning if the mental issues were real or not. Didn’t come across as genuine at all which I found quite surprising. I think he’s a really good actor on the blag.

Re: AJ on Lennox Lewis?
Dont think anyone thinks he is a bum but some aspects of his game has been exposed. I used to think AJ was alright but noe my feelings have changed since calling LL for giving an honest answer to a question asked. You cant start calling Legends clowns in tv interviews,if he feels that way about him say it to your friends and family but not on a tv interview, swerve the question. Hes an absolute gobshite anyway and isnt fit to lace up LL gloves so yes they are not cut from the same cloth.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 19:09 Povetkin, Parker (who'd beat Ruiz), Whyte, Wlad, Takam.......I mean his resume is defo top stuff in today's division. Re: AJ on Lennox Lewis?
I see AJ has posted on Insta that he respects Wlad as a great fighter and person, and that Mike Tyson is his hero.
aka PR team trying some damage mitigation and know that Mike Tyson is seen as a god, align yourself with people through that to combat calling Lennox a clown.
AJ appears lost to me, floundering all over the place, inconsistent, angry, under pressure, embarrassed and unsure of his place. Calling the Ruiz fight a lucky punch is daft, that would mean there is little point in changing as no need to as you cannot mitigate for a lucky punch so everything was perfect and still is, it was just a flukey punch which could do in anyone

Ya, does appear angry, should go back to his humbleness, not like the same people going after him for supposedly being angry will then call him a PR phony. And not like theyd do it all in the same post

Let AJ, Fury, Ruiz, and Wilder have a discussion, and you certainly won't mistake them for a group of scholars. Boxers in general come across as pretty dim tbh.

Fury or Ruiz dont come across as dim to me tbh mate, fury is funny as fck and Ruiz just sounds quiet but not dim lolmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 16:05 Let AJ, Fury, Ruiz, and Wilder have a discussion, and you certainly won't mistake them for a group of scholars.
