The amount of crap you gave me and other forum posters for correctly predicting the outcome is surely something you must feel embarrassed about?
Not at all, my point was you were calling this a mismatch and giving him 'no chance at all' while entirely ignoring what Yarde brought to the table and waffling on about experience as the be all end all. 'No chance at all' doesn't have an 8th like that
In the end, no amount of ring experience would have helped Yarde tonight, he was just beaten by the better guy.
Enjoy your Saturday night in your parents' basement.

We've all taken crap at one time or another here. Gloating over the 'popular' pick isn't impressive.
Gloating over any puck is dull, but yeah, the I picked the favorite let's all suck my dick is particularly boring. Sergi had to dig deep, in Eos defense he's so relentlessly wrong reaffirming a rare correct moment might keep a gun out of his mouth.
How often am I wrong?
You won’t even bother to defend your accusation, because you can’t!
Mine's coming up soon. Are you going to buy me a present this year? What I'd like is a real sniper rifle with Gen4 night vision sight and a lot of extra ammo. Either that or a new 4 WD pickup truck.

Ye haaa!
Ask for a Barret, not cheap and neither is the ammo. But you can do your own reloading. They don't let them into my country but I would love one. I would grow tons of pumpkins and blast them into soup from 600 metres

I never realised you were a closet redneck, my new best mate

The result is as I predicted as well and for the correct reasons. Kovalev took more shots than he needed to probably trying to force the knockout in front of his landsmen. He could have just power-boxed for a win. That Yarde was fresh having never been seriously beaten up before -until now.
Yeah, sometimes it seemed, that Kovalev was a bit forcing it. If he was more cautious, Yarde could have no success at all. But still Kovalev performed like a true champ in surviving the critical moment.

Wasn't listening to his trainer telling him to go to the body and almost paid for it.
Canelo is carefully selecting Kovalev to scrap another belt in another weight class. He knows he can bang Kovalev repeatedly to the body and wear him down. Would rather see Canelo fight Callum Smith at 168 personally.
Yarde needs more ring time, more rounds. His cardio is not great. Needs to put an emphasis on that so he can sustain a better workrate in these high level fights. He's good but he's got a ways to go. I think he can get there.

I gave Yarde only the 7th and the 8th.
Agree, seemed like an easy fight to score, Yarde clearly won 7 and 8 and then clearly lost everything else. I suppose Yarde could've been given the 8th 10-8 and Kov given the 10th 10-8
Canelo's team will put an absurd rehydration clause on Kovalev to assure he wears down in the later rounds while Canelo spends the first 8 rounds assaulting his body. Kovalev will agree to the clause because the payday will be out of this world and its time to cash out.
