Is Chris Eubank Jr wasting his career?

Eubank turned 30 today and seems to be living that Instagram lifestyle instead of fighting. He is in danger of only fighting once a year in what could turn out to be his peak.
Pretty sure is the dad is ruining his career by not working with FW and Hearn. Eubank Jr could have been a SKY/BT PPV fighter by now. There are a lot of big fights out there for him. Callum smith needs a dance partner like Eubank to be a PPV fighter himself.

He’s earned great money for a limited fighter with no trainer.

In one respect yes but in another way he’s done well out of boxing. He clearly doesn’t have much ambition boxing wise does he.

BJS probably tops the list, as he is a reflex fighter, and that can dissipate overnight as he gets older.
Eubank Jr is a volume guy, with little else in his arsenal. That stamina can fade past 30 too.
Of the 3, Smith probably has the better skill set and natural physical advantages to carry on longer at a high level- but still is wasting his prime.

We as boxing fans will think it’s a waste but he won’t, I don’t think he has any ambitions to create a great boxing legacy he just wants a great lifestyle which he seems to already have, he’s earned far beyond his talent so fair play.

Yes wasting it. He had seven fights in 2014 and since then its been two or three until this year when its only one. He's at his physical peak but the money, fame and limelight are a bigger draw it seems.

Where can he go? What can he do? His best wins are against two shot fighters in Abraham and DeGale and Groves was pretty much on the cusp of being finished but he was still much better than Eubank.

If he wants to continue building his career. He really needs to keep on cherry picking opponents because he's limited.

Agree but would add that Smith's biggest advantage is his size. Gets harder to boil down the older you get. He has a shot at achieving big things but his biological clock is ticking.
