This fight is win-win situation for Kovalev, the worst thing for him is to become a very, very wealthy loser.

Did he say that?
He doesn't have to say it. He isn't that strong mentally. At least not nearly as strong as Canelo.
Mind reader!!

What else is he thinking? What are his views of Russian literature, or long walks on the beach?

And tell me, how many old Kov threads are you aiming to bump this time if he loses-you sure did a high number before :OhYes:

I wouldn't be surprised if Kovalev quits in this fight.

If Alvarez can find a way to neutralize Kovalevs jab and break him down going to the body I think Alvarez stops Kovalev late. If Alvarez can't stop Kovalevs jab, I think Kovalev wins.

Understatement of the year (UOTY) candidate. Hopefully he doesn’t follow his procreation tracks.

diddy wrote: 14 Sep 2019, 12:08 Kovalev is getting toward the end of the line. I'm not one to yell conspiracy but the guy is making over 12M for this fight. The most he's ever made is 2M vs Ward. This is 6x more $ than hes ever made and 12x more than he usually makes. I wont be shocked at all if he's being brought in to lose but at the same time not "look bad" in doing so.
A Canelo opponent is getting a significantly larger payday to fight Canelo than he gets fighting any other opponent? :o

You've uncovered something very unusual there.

Canelo has many reasons to be cheerful -

Plenty of time to clean up before the pesky 5 week VADA testing begins.

Vegas once more - 5 v 1

Clauses signed by the Krusher to get his tied hands on this career topping purse (?)

DAZN happy to finally get a major fight at last

Kovalev is shot but $happy to play the fall guy.

Everyone should be happy. It's a fight, admittedly 2019 style, but it's still a flight.

Since when is a defending Champion coming off a KO victory shot? What the hell is wrong with all of you people? Are you living in an alternate reality? Where is this Kovalev who has faded beyond recognition, and can't beat Canelo? I haven't seen him.

Kovalev was almost stopped by an opponent with no top level experience who didn't even spar during the camp. There is a high possibility that Kovalev is shot.

Kov isn't what he was but he's still a dangerous fighter. He showed heart coming back against Aleider Alvarez, and he went hard with Yarde. He's far from shot. I still think Canelo will win.

Anybody who watched his fight with Yarde and thinks he's shot needs an urgent opthalmologist visit.

Thought about going but tickets cost and arm and a leg for this fight, at least for a decent one.
Canelo looked quite small beside Kovalev at the presser.
Interesting match up though I like it, credit to Canelo for moving up and taking a challenging opponent.
Stylewise it has a proper good fight written all over it.

Prime Kovalev would get rid of Yarde in the first half and wouldn't be on a verge of getting stopped himself.

Yeh but everyone knows he’s not in his prime anymore.. but he’s not shot. He had 1 bad round, everyone has 1 bad round at least at times.

So you're either Prime or you're Shot? There is no in between to you?

I look at it like a speedometer. Kov isn't yet in the red shot zone but he's past the middle point, likely at a quarter tank.

He definitely ain't at his best anymore. I think we'd all agree on that, but I'm not sure he'd need to be at his very best. Considering all the advantages he has.

He's bigger, more powerful, harder hitter, better jab.

Canelo has better head movement, better body punching, and the judges in his pocket. Kovalev has more tools to actually WIN a fight. Canelo has more connections.
