Zero likelihood of this happening, but it would be fantastic if it did.

Two unbeaten multiple-weight world champion dead-cert first ballot Hall-of-Famers squaring off against each other would be a monster event.

Doubt it. If it does happen i'd like to see Ward in some sort of warm up first and hopefully the fight wouldn't be fought at CaneloWeight......

Ward is too rational for comebacks.

Ward won't return I don't think. He doesn't need the money, and he said he has several injuries which would preclude it.

Ward retired at the top of the game
I don't imagine he has any intention of tarnishing his legacy by getting involved with Canelo

All depends on the money ward is offered.
I would be hoping canelo wants to fight the top fighters at 168 and 175 rather than fighting retired fighters or shop worn fighters.

I don't see Ward coming back for a payday. He has serious shoulder problems, and plenty of money.

Why tarnish his unbeaten record after a long layoff and injuries that forced him to retire.

Ward would do it for insane money, he’s said so before he was willing to fight AJ at one point.

What was Ward highest purse? Insane money to me is 10 million and Kovalev got 12. If Ward could get more, say around 15 or more, who could refuse that unless Ward is seriously not able to compete due to injuries and/or has future plans for a Ward brand, where a defeat would jeopardise future profits.

IF it were to happen, he’d probably want a whole year to take 2 tune up fights

According to Wiki his highest purse was $5m against Kov, he’d get easy $15 probably over $20 against Canelo, very hard to turn that down.

Yea very hard. Unless there’s some unknown or injury type thing, if Canelo wants him, it could happen.

Ward knows you need to win 13 rounds to get a draw against Canelo. So the money would have to be outrageous for him to give up his 0.
