Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Zero likelihood of this happening, but it would be fantastic if it did.
Two unbeaten multiple-weight world champion dead-cert first ballot Hall-of-Famers squaring off against each other would be a monster event.

100% next year
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Doubt it. If it does happen i'd like to see Ward in some sort of warm up first and hopefully the fight wouldn't be fought at CaneloWeight......
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Ward is too rational for comebacks.

Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Ward won't return I don't think. He doesn't need the money, and he said he has several injuries which would preclude it.
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Ward retired at the top of the game
I don't imagine he has any intention of tarnishing his legacy by getting involved with Canelo

All depends on the money ward is offered.
I would be hoping canelo wants to fight the top fighters at 168 and 175 rather than fighting retired fighters or shop worn fighters.

I don't see Ward coming back for a payday. He has serious shoulder problems, and plenty of money.jonnyyorkshu wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 13:12 All depends on the money ward is offered.

Why tarnish his unbeaten record after a long layoff and injuries that forced him to retire.
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
he doesn't need money ???so he still has to comment on the game somewhere?he hadn't made much money throughout his career..sorry my english

Ward would do it for insane money, he’s said so before he was willing to fight AJ at one point.

Ward beats Usyk, SOG! SOG!
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
What was Ward highest purse? Insane money to me is 10 million and Kovalev got 12. If Ward could get more, say around 15 or more, who could refuse that unless Ward is seriously not able to compete due to injuries and/or has future plans for a Ward brand, where a defeat would jeopardise future profits.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 19:33 Ward would do it for insane money, he’s said so before he was willing to fight AJ at one point.
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
IF it were to happen, he’d probably want a whole year to take 2 tune up fights

Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
According to Wiki his highest purse was $5m against Kov, he’d get easy $15 probably over $20 against Canelo, very hard to turn that down.lazboy wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 19:45What was Ward highest purse? Yea very hard. Unless there’s some unknown or injury type thing, if Canelo wants him, it could happen.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 20:33According to Wiki his highest purse was $5m against Kov, he’d get easy $15 probably over $20 against Canelo, very hard to turn that down.lazboy wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 19:45

You do understand that boxing is between two boxers right?
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Nah. Callum Smith or Beterbiev
Re: Canelo vs Warde next year
Ward knows you need to win 13 rounds to get a draw against Canelo. So the money would have to be outrageous for him to give up his 0.
