Ya at his career high of 229 he was still way leaner than pretty much every HW out there, if he had average HW body fat (aka roll level) he'd prob be around 260
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz II - November 23, 2019
You're right about the 260 but he's been over 230 before. EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑20 Nov 2019, 20:08 Ya at his career high of 229 he was still way leaner than pretty much every HW out there, if he had average HW body fat (aka roll level) he'd prob be around 260

D Smoke and Bankroll Freddie to perform at Friday’s weigh-in
Hip-hop artists D Smoke and Bankroll Freddie will perform at the official open to the public weigh-in for the highly anticipated rematch between WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder and Cuban slugger Luis Ortiz before they headline a FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View this Saturday, November 23 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Fans are invited to come out to the MGM Grand Garden Arena this Friday, November 22 with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. PT. Live performances will follow, leading up to the fighters hitting the scales at 2:30 p.m. PT.
D Smoke is fresh off of winning Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow” reality show as picked by judges Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and T.I. Hailing from Inglewood, California, Smoke has lent his vocals to the late Michael Jackson and collaborated with everyone from Usher, Babyface, Mary J Blige, and Jahiem, to Missy Elliot, Timbaland, and The Pussycat Dolls, and has been honored with a ASCAP Song of the Year award. He recently released “The Inglewood High EP” on October 24 of this year, an album aiming to reveal the beauty and frustration of today’s Inglewood through the eyes of his former students.
Bankroll Freddie is quickly emerging as one of Arkansas’ hottest rappers, buoyed by support from the industry’s most in-demand label, Quality Control Music, which boasts artists such as Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby and more. He started his music career in late 2017 as an independent artist and released his first mixtape in 2019. His debut album “From Trap to Rap” debuts this December and the album’s first single, “Drip Like This Remix”, features verses from two of today’s hottest rappers in Lil Baby and Young Dolph.

DAZN Secures Rights To Broadcast Wilder – Ortiz II Rematch In Germany, Austria, Switzerland And Spain!
The eagerly anticipated rematch between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (41-0-1) and challenger Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz (31-1-0), at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 23 November. The fight will be streamed on DAZN in four of its markets – exclusive in Germany and Spain and non-exclusive in Austria and Switzerland.
Jacopo Tonoli, Chief Commercial Officer of DAZN Group, commented on the deal: “As DAZN continues to promote boxing across Europe, we’re thrilled to bring this heavyweight clash to four of our markets. Featuring two of the most explosive heavyweights in the division, the fight is a great addition to the already packed schedule in the final couple of months in 2019. DAZN is thriving as a better and fairer way to watch sport around the world, without the expensive, one-off pay-per-view prices.”
The two fighters previously met in 2018, bringing a heavyweight classic to the Barclays Center, New York and fans around the world. Wilder knocked down Ortiz in the fifth round, resisted a huge barrage of blows in the seventh before scoring a massive 10th-round knockout to claim his 39th career knockout.
Since the initial fight between the two fighters, WBC champion Deontay Wilder has retained his belt twice, the first through a controversial draw with lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and the second via a dominant win against two-time world heavyweight title challenger Dominic Breazeale. The Alabama native is now looking to secure a tenth successful defence of his WBC belt and a shot at more heavyweight titles. Ortiz has won three fights since the first bout, boasting KO victories over Razvan Cojanu and Travis Kauffman and a unanimous decision win over Christian Hammer in March.

Wow! He does look very old in that photo.
For the many people predicting a Deontay Wilder KO win .... I gotta ask you, what round?

The 34-year-old Wilder weighed 219½ pounds when he stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale, almost five pounds more than the 214¾ pounds he officially weighed for their first fight.
The 40-year-old Ortiz officially came in at 236½ pounds Friday, nearly five pounds less than the 241¼ pounds he was when he weighed in for their initial encounter.

Yeah, outside of the ring, he seems like a good sort.
Inside the ring he is a foul generating mauler

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz II - November 23, 2019
Honestly if Wilder blows him out in under 3~4 rounds it will be a real signal that he has stepped up in levels.
Would be incredibly impressive if he does it in the first round.
Ortiz is not an ring-rusty/out-of-shape Stiverne or a tailor-made Breazeale

I’ve been proven right, once again. Wilder ALWAYS weighs less than 220lbs against threatening decent opposition!oogiebe wrote: ↑20 Nov 2019, 17:22His median weight throughout his career is around 223. Not sure why any of this means anything really. He was coming off the flu for the first Ortiz fight and he was too light for the Fury fight. Those two were the anomolies. Last 7 fights: 223.5/212.5/214.75/220.75/222/226.25/228.75. Vs Ortiz II...???Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Nov 2019, 13:24
Here's what you wrote:
Excluding the Breazeale fight, which is anomalous, The Bronze Bomber’s average weight for all his bouts against top-ten world-rated opposition (as per The RING) is 216lbs (i.e. Stiverne twice, Ortiz & Fury).
Deontay Wilder’s official ring weight for against Tyson Fury was only 209lbs.
'The Bronze Bomber' has a reputation for competing "light" against opposition he perceives as being legitimate threats to his title reign.
Wilder usually weighs around the 225lbs to 230lbs mark against all the other guys he’s heavily-favoured to beat.
The Showtime/Fox commentary teams persistently labour over this point whilst covering his bouts, which is clearly supported by his BoxRec stats.
