The ref should have stopped it after the count. He was so wobbly. His corner had to run up to tell them to stop it.

Ajagba is no where near the level of Dubs. Efe can punch; he can take a punch, but can he'd take a beating by a good HW right now.
The good: He got knocked down and got right back up and beat his man down.
The bad: Boy is he easy to hit.
The Ugly: Not mixing up his punches; no head movement; still doesn't have the basic skills to avoid punches while throwing.

Surprisingly entertaining fight!
Efe has hopefully learned from this fight not to let the other guy off the hook.

Kiladze auditioning for the Black Knight in Monty Python there.
Ref and/or his corner shoulda stopped that in R2 - glad they didn't.
Great stuff from the Georgian.

Ajagba learned that an almost-down opponent is like a cornered rat, very dangerous.
He also has to improve how he delivers his right hands, they always look the same and he sets himself up for counters.
The ref was horrible. When a guy is out on his feet swimming around, he gets a standing 8 count right? I guess not.
And when you count a guy to 8 or 9 and he stands up and can't walk to you, he's done.
Same as in the previous fight, the guy gets up but clearly isn't all there. Gotta stop it at that point.

100% another thing to consider is if after so many ammy bouts + the handful of pro fights Ajagba hasn't progressed not a good signoogiebe wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:20Ajagba is no where near the level of Dubs. Efe can punch; he can take a punch, but can he'd take a beating by a good HW right now.

Effe needs to calm down after he buzzes someone. let a guy off the hook then got silly and got dropped once. then in the last round after he had him hurt again copped a flushh right hand that was always gunna be coming. turned out to be a great scrap in the end, considering how one sided round 1 was looking.

This fight may have been the best thing to happen to him. Let's see next time out. Geez I'm amped over that fight! The Giron fight too! Shaping up to be a great card.kbackup408 wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:24100% another thing to consider is if after so many ammy bouts + the handful of pro fights Ajagba hasn't progressed not a good signoogiebe wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:20

Hopefully Ajagba’s latest performance will realign expectations to more realistic levels.
I’ve previously read posts submitted to this forum comparing Ajagba’s talents to Hall-of-Famers, which is clearly a premature thing to do.

C'mon EO...no one did that. He's still an exciting prospect. Your boy Dychko is no where to be found. Let it go.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:28 Hopefully Ajagba’s latest performance will realign expectations to more realistic levels.

Don't worry your pretty little head about that, focus on how many viewers watched and compare it to the percentage of the last bout.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:28 Hopefully Ajagba’s latest performance will realign expectations to more realistic levels.

If Dubois and Ajagba changed opponents, I don't think the results would be much different
Kiladze is a tough SOB and he'd have fought like heck against Dubois too. Might not have knocked him down, but who knows until we see Dubois against a tough customer like him. Gorman couldn't take a punch. Kingpin still can at times, but he doesn't deliver anything anymore.
Kyotaro is not a big guy that takes pressure well. He's a kickboxer at heart, he wants to spar, and is overwhelmed by big tough punchers, that's why he's avoided them. Ajagba would have finished him quickly too.
I'd rank Dubois ahead of Ajagba right now, but I don't think this difference is nearly as stark as people are making it out to be.

I’m sure one idiot/outlier said it. Most likely an EO alt account.oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:29C'mon EO...no one did that. He's still an exciting prospect. Re: Tony Harrison vs. Jermell Charlo II - December 21, 2019
Dubs is clearly a couple of steps ahead of Efe. It'll be interesting to see Ajagba's next outing. He MUST show improvement in his defense and head movement. As I posted earlier, maybe this was a good thing for him. He sure seems to have the ability.SportsRatings wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:33 If Dubois and Ajagba changed opponents, I don't think the results would be much different

Spence looks a little unwell...,.
Miracle he survived, etc, etc. just looks like he’s been on a month long bender.

Dub would batter Iago without issue, like Kalenga and Joyce and Hunter did. It's not like Iago is some hellish test each time.SportsRatings wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 22:33 If Dubois and Ajagba changed opponents, I don't think the results would be much different
