Imo he needs to be treated like Chisora. Feed him some wins and get him fighting fit and then a test. He was fighting fit when he fought Joshua as he had just come off another fight (not that that’s not common knowledge).Onetimeonly wrote: ↑14 Dec 2019, 03:06He's never had any desire. He's now infamous and even wealthier. Will the drive to redeem himself be more motivating or will he get sick of the negativity that is boxing and spend his riches in a bid to give his life meaning? Then when its all used up, he'll go back to what he knows, boxing. Because it's all that he knows.
I'm really not sure I'm not a psychologist nor can I read his future. There is one thing I know for certain...Snickers didn't satisfy Andy's craving for food.

He was blubbering and Joshua fucked up. It might take 3 years to get him in the ring for some wins. Chisora might be a good one. I doubt we see Andy for 2 or 3 yrs.lazboy wrote: ↑14 Dec 2019, 03:37Imo he needs to be treated like Chisora. Feed him some wins and get him fighting fit and then a test. Ruiz entered the nothing to lose spot again. While his loss wasn't damaging for his health and condition. So, he should fight someone decent, who also has nothing to lose. Ortiz, Povetkin, Rivas, etc. He can fight Kownacki, play a gatekeeper role for him, as Kownacki still isn't the biggest contender, thus Ruiz fight is a great option for him.

Andy Ruiz's average takeaway weighs 200lbs.
Andy Ruiz will never weigh 200lbs this side of death.
His target weight should be less than that of a Brachiosaurus, but I just can't see it happening with Ruiz.
He's a fat bar steward and a very rich fat bar steward at that.
The money he earned from those two fights with Joshua would buy a lot of silk pyjamas that he can laze around his California mansion all day in whilst he speed dials every takeaway within a 3 mile radius.

He should fight The President!

Re: Who Should Andy Ruiz Fight Next, And What Should His Target Weight Be ?
Andy Ruiz should not weigh more than 230 pounds. He can also cut to cruiserweight lol. That amount of fat is extreme

I can see Wilder facing Ruiz Jr. immediately after the Fury rematch (assuming he emerges victorious against the Brit) and will adopt the identical gameplan he utilised for the first Stiverne fight.
Andy will probably slim down to around the 255lbs mark.

He should get down to 255
and then fight Wilder for a shot at Fury.

He did wonders for Tyson.
If I was Ruiz, I would hook up a Weight watchers deal, probably walking around at 290 right now.
Drop 40 pounds in 6 months, and make an earn along the way like Hungry Spice did.
Re: Who Should Andy Ruiz Fight Next, And What Should His Target Weight Be ?
I don't think there needs to be a target weight for Andy.
He's a disgusting tub of lard.
Start eating healthy every day, get in shape then step on a scale and see what it says.
It will be significantly less than his last fight.
All of the opponents mentioned sound good to me..............if he gets in shape.
If not I don't want to see him at all.

The fame went to his head, imo, and quit training like he should. He's young, and will be back. I never thought he was any higher than say a lower top ten guy, but he proved me wrong vs Joshua the first time. He's game, and will hopefully get re-focused now he was brought back down to earth.

I love this stance from fans as if Andy Ruiz was ever a seriously trained, non fat assBandog wrote: ↑23 Dec 2019, 20:18 The fame went to his head, imo, and quit training like he should. He was fat and out of shape the 1st time they fought. He had fought recently though which I think was his biggest advantage going into that bout. That coupled with AJ's lack of respect for him.

Yup, he's never been in shape. He's pulled out of a handful of fights last minute without even faking injury. He's a lazy piece of shit that will never win another meaningful fight if he ever has one.gilgamesh wrote: ↑23 Dec 2019, 20:21I love this stance from fans as if Andy Ruiz was ever a seriously trained, non fat assBandog wrote: ↑23 Dec 2019, 20:18 The fame went to his head, imo, and quit training like he should. I'd like him at about 240. Ruiz versus Ortiz would be great. I'd even like to see him against Chisora.

He looks like a whale. He should fight his belt line.
Re: Who Should Andy Ruiz Fight Next, And What Should His Target Weight Be ?
True, good point. That being said it doesn't say much for Joshua's talent level if he couldn't beat an out of shape fat tub of shit, and fighting like he was afraid of him the second time.gilgamesh wrote: ↑23 Dec 2019, 20:21I love this stance from fans as if Andy Ruiz was ever a seriously trained, non fat assBandog wrote: ↑23 Dec 2019, 20:18 The fame went to his head, imo, and quit training like he should. Somebody has to lose.
Re: Who Should Andy Ruiz Fight Next, And What Should His Target Weight Be ?
I mean it shows he's undoubtedly vulnerable, but Fury and Wilder are as well. I don't know if they'd lose to Ruiz exactly, but I think they could all lose to guys that people might not necessarily expect to beat them.Bandog wrote: ↑24 Dec 2019, 07:36True, good point. He should fight Umut Camkıran next, they both look fat and no one will feel surprised in the weigh-ins.

240-250 for me to regain his speed and a 10 rounder against Szpilka.
