He won't want to jump in with either having just reclaimed his portion of the title, one will frustrate the hell out of him,the other will knock the hell out of him.
If wilder fights AJ it would be like Tranmere Rovers playing Liverpool now

AJ had to fight again or he would of been known as a fraud, difference between the two fights is one trained for the 2nd fight the other didnt.

No way his team would let him near Wilder despite all the chatter we’re gonna hear for the next few years about it, Fury maybe, but he’d have to beat Wilder twice for it to happen.

I see Fury beating Wilder, so then a rematch.
That takes care of 2020.
So no, they won't fight AJ next year.

Can see that going either way. Furys problem is that he just throws so few shots.

But the more he throws the more he opens himself up for Wilder to connect.
It's going to be a boring fight again

And the less he lands the less likely he is to win.

I think it's more likely we'll see a Fury vs Wilder rematch in 2020 then for AJ to fight either of them.

That seems to be the plan.

I know what you mean but because of wilders power and furys concentration span I felt the first fight was tense all the way through.

Wilder is usually behind in his fights. Or should be. Really looking forward to the rematch.

Wilder has improved and seems to have so much confidence in his KO ability. He was desperate against Fury but I don't think he will be again. He's the more improved fighter.

That late KD maybe proved a point to himself.. The last 2 wins have been one punch finishes hat anyone in the history of the sport would have been proud of.

In what ways do you think he's improved. Since Fury he has a fight going 90 seconds vs the division's slowest and easiest to hit contender--one absolutely tailor made for him-- and a fight where he lost pretty much all 7 rounds until the KO. Ortiz was outboxing him easier than he did in their first fight and I don't think Ortiz is as good as Fury. It will be a problem if Wilder is giving away rounds more easily vs an opponent who has actually been the distance with him.

I think Wilder will win, but this improvement stuff seems like reaching based on how his fights since actually went. Losing 6 of 7 rounds wasn't a positive and it didn't cause him to beat Ortiz., he won inspite of that not because it It's the same old Wilder with all the limitations and losing rounds until the big shot lands. He did this before facing Fury too. Fury is better than Breazeale and the Cuban grandad and will be having Wilder look crude and clumsy again until the KO comes brutally.

We might see Wilder open that cut up, Fury lose that extra bit of concentration and confidence, and then boom. But make no mistake, Wilder losing rounds isn't some laudable quality that's causing him to eventually win fights. It sounds kinda funny tbh, it's like people have just tried to cover all the ground whether he's winning or losing. In that way, he really can do no wrong. If he doesn't win a second of the fight until scoring a lucky 12th round KO---'see, patience paid off!!'

Cuts are a big thing, cut free I think Fury wins well, but a bad cut will change everything.

Wouldn't be a huge surprise if we got Pulev, Whyte, Usyk, Ruiz 3, Joe Joyce and Jarrell Miller, tho' would it ?
Very likely scenario

Your argument is all fair, I can see that.

I think though there was a difference. Against Fury he looked lost and desperate. There was a touch of that too in Ortiz I. But this time he seemed confident that he would get his moment. They were also one punch finishes. He dealt with both men in convincing fashion.

Yet, we all know what happens to punchers who fall in love with their own power.

I just worry that Wilder has more scope to improve from the first fight. Add to this that Fury always seems to have all kinds of shit going on in his orbit at any one time.

You make the case that Wilder hasn't improved, so in that case why do you think he'll win ?
Has Fury regressed ? It seems reasonable to assume he'll be better than before.

Fury will cut up and unravel. He'll start bending low to the side more as well, which was the situation in both the KDs

Plus the thing is with Wilder, even if you managed to last with him the first time, it can still be a tight rope walk to do it again even if both guys are no better or worse than before. And let's remember Fury was very close to being stopped anyway, though fair play he got up and came right back
