Quite a bit for GGG fans to be concerned about here - mainly centering around the name Victor Conte.
I'm hoping that Golovkin is genuinely trying something different from his dubious usual Big Bear high altitude training regime.
I'm hoping that it's a carefully considered choice and not an act of desperation from a fighter whose last few fights have shown a noticeable decline in speed and pop.
GGG is starting to look like Mike Tyson after his 1995 return - still the dangerous but no longer the terrifying GGG of 5/6 years ago. Difficult to recall any boxer with a similar style to GGGs who lasted anywhere this long.
Intimidation has always been a huge factor in boxing and always will be. So it's not too far fetched to suggest that even the legendary Gennady Golovkin could be heading for his first genuine professional loss.
We just don't know when. Let's hope we don't find out soon.
I'd like to see GGG bow out entirely on his own terms, following in the footsteps of Marvelous Marvin Hagler who also understood the dirty sport of boxing.
