Crawford is a real joke

Post by RonnyJ »

Hasnt fought one "name" opponent in his whole career (except for prime gamboa, who is 5'5 & a natural super featherweight) and acts like a superstar. When in real world he has 0 fanbase, a boring style and brings poor ppv numbers.

He is a good twitter warrior, going after charlo bros & thurman etc.

But ones a "name" opponent comes up in disscusion in prime Porter, than all of the sudden "oh no, we friends, no fight possible"

Had the chance to join al, what does he do
"Oh no, no pbc, i stay with bobby and keep fighting c level unknown opponents"

Reminds me of ward. Boring inside & outide the ring. Atleast ward fought the best.

Al Hayman is a very smart man, he knows a great fighter when he sees one, that’s why he won’t let his fighters go near him.

Crawford isn't anymore money than his own guys fighting each other. Best bets are prograis or Taylor moving up.

Oscar was a boss. Klitschko bros were bosses.

Tentetive, boring. He waits, waits, than a counter. He does not much. I am not the only one saying that, what do u think why his viewing numbers are so low, because of his action fan entertaining style

Are you suggesting that it’s Al Haymon’s responsibility and duty to orchestrate marquee bouts for Terence Crawford?

Should the PBC be obliged to ensure that Crawford always engages in big fights?

Crawford do need to get them fights but then again I don't think anyone would take that risk at all. Low-pay out, risk of getting your ass beaten is high.

No names. But nobody dear to fight him.

Towards the end of TR/HBO, he had the best viewership numbers. His ESPN numbers have consistently been around the 2m figure.

Compared to A LOT of boxers, he has one of best viewership figures.

Crawford’s viewership figures for HBO weren’t particularly impressive. It’s just a simple easily verifiable fact of life that isn’t worth labouring over.

And also, the numbers he draws for ESPN are actually very low, but this is probably because of the amount of subscribers associated with his platform.

I must have posted his numbers and drew comparisons to fighters aligned with other networks at least half a dozen times now.

So this isn’t me guessing or conveying an uneducated opinion.

Crawford and Lomachenko are one of best boxers in world, but both have same problem. They need career defining fights. Canelo faced Golovkin, Jacobs and Kovalev and that fights catapulted him to being face of boxing. Crawford must do everything to lure Spence, Porter and Garcia in to the ring. Same for Lomachenko, his primary target should be Lopez, Davis and Berchelt. Time is running out, they cannot afford another Crollas or Khans.

Btw there is long time problem that top 147 pounders are with PBC and Crawford is with Top Rank. Bob Arum should "trade" Terrence Crawford for Gervonta Davis lol

I tend to agree with some of the non-Ron comments.
Crawford does need a career defining fight. And soon.
I worry it will come too late, and we will have missed out on seeing him peaking against the best guys.
Blokes of his size age overnight. Usually just after they turn 30.
One of the things that makes Crawford so special, is his timing.
A slip in that area would make him vulnerable.

Crawford has more time left than Loma, who is already having injuries, all the amateur fights and that fast twitch style. Crawford's frame is better suited moving up in weight also. Loma is about maxed out unless he were to HGH himself like many(Manny) have.

I could see Craw winning titles all the way up to MW, I think he's the best in the world though obviously he doesn't have the best resume, that's true

Loma is there for the taking by the young guns. Tank and Teo could do it.

As my Knowledge goes he had 0 ppv fights.

if he changes his style and fights more aggressiv than id find him more entertaining. I dont like his arrogant boring personality, but at least box more fan friendly.

Spence beats him. Charlo bros too big. Same goes for canelo. Ones crawford enters the ring with the top names he gezs wrecked. I hope he does, i cant stand him.

Loma should beat all. But he has young prime strong punchers infront of him. Id favour him over all, but i wouldnt be shocked if hed get tkod. Teo, tank & haney are all p4p top 5 material. I am impressed by all of them.

Wow.. good boxing skills doesn't always = ppv fights.

Either way, you clearly just have something against Bud, as his fighting style is not boring at all.

i never said his boxing skills are poor. his technique is excellent. also i dont care for ppv numbers. i dont like him as a person and i dont like his boxing style and to me it is boring. he rarly has an exciting fight. he does not much the whole fight, lets his opponents outpower and than at the end when opponents are gassed than he does something. just not the style or tactic i like.

inoue might be my favourite boxer right now and he is no ppv superstar, but when he fights, than i am totaly excited.

Some watch to see action and some to look at records - hence their obsession with the 0.

Like you I have little time either for the dullsville ring antics of Mayweather, Ward and Crawford. For what it's worth Marciano also had the 0, Calzaghe had the 0 and GGG should have the 0. All different fighters with different styles.

Carl Froch and Ricky Hatton, both go forward fighters, don't have perfect records but who can forget their epic fights? In fact Froch hardly ever had a dull fight, and like Anthony Joshua could fill stadiums with ease and rarely disappointed.

Naoya Inoue is a tremendously exciting fighter and may have the best attack style in the whole of boxing today. Deontay Wilder is another who just doesn't have boring fights, so I will always watch him fight. His last one got more publicity than anything else since the shocking AJ - Ruiz 1.

It's all about styles and everyone's entitled to their tastes. You pays your money (or waits for the re-run) and makes your choice.
