No you need to get it right Billy told us that there shins came together in sparring and that Ricky fell to the floor.. I was not there so can only go on the information I was given.. Sparring is sparring and I was there a few times when Ronnie Sparred Ricky and it was amazing sparring both were brilliant. Ricky struggles v Southpaws and Ronnie can bang also but what I would say is Ricky is as tough as the come and in honesty Billy is a very good boxing trainer and would back his fighters to the end no matter what.. As much as we have wound Billy up and vice versa I do respect him and what he has done for boxing.. Would love to have seen Ricky Burns v Ronnie Clark at Super Featherweight would of been an amazing fight

Ronnie Clark is shin for shin the best in the super feather division. I'd fancy his chances against anyone in the world.

I'd class ronnie more like Frank dux if I'm honest. Nat soo cow. If devin haney can say what he said then why cant I? Ronnie went into sparring with Ricky burns and smashed his with a low kick and he wanted none of it so ronnie is now 3 weight world champion.

Does Ronnie still practice his kicks etc or just avoid that for boxing stuff? Would be mad if he let a high kick go 😂

I have always wondered, and maybe you could tell, what is the Kickboxing world like compared to Boxing? How many organisations that issue belts etc ? I always see there is different types, k1 etc? Do they all have there own belts? And money wise, is it as good ?

Is Glory the most professional one?

Ronnie still trains kickboxing, still stretches, do splits and kick in the head at any given time haha.

As for kickboxing money wise ronnie would be paid similar to fight for a world title as he would make in a tick over fight so money is not great. There were 3 main orgs at time but they were more popular at different sides of the world. Ronnie was above the waist kickboxing but would fight low kick, k1 or even mma due to a wrestling background also.

As for levels historically the kickboxers have more chance of transitioning over than boxers the other way, the kickboxers are alot tougher but there is a clear level difference and boxers are a step above. I would fancy the kickboxers would wipe them out on the street though, fighters such as dillian whyte, chad sugden and scott quigg would all be very handy.

There is no money in it. My Nephew won five British titles on his first day....
A kid I know was undefeated as a kick-boxer, world champion, fought all over the world, Zachary Evans. Turned amateur boxer! He’s one to watch. Won elite belt in his first bout (declared all his previous combat experience)

I don’t know how it works but I have never met a kick-boxer who wasn’t a British, European or World champion.

I have also met loads of Irish lads who were “all Ireland boxing champions”

Maybe I just meet a lot of bullshitters :maybe:

Reason being is there are different forms so points, semi contact and lots of mat comps. I only go on full contact but again that's just me and I'm sure mat sports would have their own argument. Coming from mat sports you have 2 famous mma fighters in Michael Venom page and raymond Daniel's.

There are a lot of very good kickboxers, Caleb Plant was a.world champion kickboxer and fought guy from up here in scotland Ryan Lyall. Kris Carslaw was unbelievable and had same trainer as ronnie.

Kickboxing is a bit of a minefield but if you know what your looking for then you can kinda filter away from the bull crap.

Yes Zachary Evans is a very good Kick-boxer.. I’m sure he defeated Dean Sutherland from Aberdeen who is still undefeated in boxing. Should do really well
