It's got a bit prickly between me and mickey1975 on here, and I know on another thread where he'd got some stick from Pigg Wilson he challenged Pigg to a spar. Mickey said he was 6'4" and 17 stone on that thread. If his user name is his year of birth he's 45. Mickey knows what my real name is and he knows my boxing record(I was no world beater). He'll know by having looked at my boxing profile I'm 5'8", boxed at supermiddleweight(I really only weighed around the middleweight limit and boxed a fair few lightheavies), and am 51 years old. I now weigh around 15 stone, but it's not from any training, it's middle-age spread. Mick is younger than me and a larger individual, but if he'd offered to spar me I'd have took him up on the offer. So, in my opinion John Fury has bottled it.

I wonder if it was the Lenny McClean stories that put him off?

He’d smash him inside or outside the ring. Maybe he’s protecting his sons who are both enjoying some fame...?
How do you know? Have you seen the both fighf? Serious question.

Personally I'm in favour of this Theo lad taking step aside for the big one: John Fury vs Mike Tyson in Saudi.

I'd watch it.

No, but from what I do know, Mick Theo is just an old body builder and Fury at least has experience as a pro fighter, and I imagine he’s done plenty of fighting in general outside the ring too.
My question is to those who are saying he’s bottled it. I just don’t know why he would do that...

For the record, I honestly couldn’t care less if they do get it on. Fury is quite obviously a hot head and that Theo seems to be an attention seeking prick.

Fury has swerved this body builder in a boxing match and just wants a fight on the cobbles or in Billy Joe Saunders yard - Oh and in the same rant he called out Mike Tyson for a boxing match lol

I think Theo should just go round the yards or whatever and have a go. He wanted this he should go have it.

I think Fury didn't fancy his chances in a boxing match so tried to divert it back onto the cobbles thinking that Theo wouldn't want to know and thus saving face.

Wonder what he would do if Theo still fancied it gypsy style. He would have to fight then.

Yes, the whole knocking out 3 or 4 doormen a night at 14 was stretching it a bit far.

Clearly trying to intimidate Theo, but does not look to be working.

The stupidity of all this is if Fury doesn't go through with it, someone will now call out Mick Theo  the stupidity won't stop.

But I am going to congratulate John Fury for being sensible - but he really should keep his gob shut in the future.

Fury does seem like a right bully tho. Also I'm not sure this theo guy is a walk over that people are saying.... nothing will happen that is my prediction. It's all a bit embarrassing
I agree on both counts by the way but I would have put my 50 pence on Fury beating him if it had gone ahead - agree with the last two points too! :TU:

I agree - being big and loud will intimidate most people, however when someone is willing to have a go back he backs down

I’d normally agree the loudest in the room an all that, but with John I think that’s just his way and he is a big hard bastard. He would muller that Mick Theo in or out the ring

To me yeah, which is a surprise, he should have too much for aging, roided up dwarf who has never fought but has ended up making himself look bad, the last vid was embarrassing.

Alright I'll give old man Fury the benefit of the doubt, using my imagination and putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

I think John's still a hard bloke who I personally wouldn't want to take on but that's because he's a nutter who's idea of a 'straightener' is somewhat similar to Stuarty's idea of a 'square go'

EG smash the other bloke with a magnet or gouge out his eye. Anything to win.

I doubt John can trust himself to not bring in the teeth or the head or the fingers once the red mist descends, in the same way he couldn't help himself responding to challenge videos by an absolute nobody.

Prison is crap, and maybe John's concerned if he takes it to the park he's headed back there for another long stretch.

Should have just ignored it. At least only boxing nerds like us really know about it, and even then I suspect none of us care especially. We want our proper fights back. As for John, lesson learned. Your son's The Man, not you. Wind your neck in and laugh off any 'challengers'. We know the Fury's are a well known family of villains, but they're so in the public eye now and Tyson has finally won people over.

Leave the fighting to 'the best of your breed' and that's Tyson.

Well, as expected Theo has raised the stakes and ball is well and truly in Fury's court

As Theo says Fury won't be able to do his seminars with this bottle job on his record.

Fookin ell   I'm starting to warm to this Theo dude.... hes definitely not scared or holding back. He makes some good points. To be honest Fury has mugged himself off a bit. He should either have ignored the initial video full stop and it would of been forgotten quickly. Or accepted the fight as a charity boxing match. Now hes being mugged off and called every name under the sun ... big John is embarrassing himself and being embarrassed by theo. Fury comes across as a right nasty bully so tbh Theo's won me over calling John a pussy like 100 times and a poof   not a lot of men would do that. War Theo
Team Mick :yay:
