Its just a bit sad when you are more or less being called an "idiot" because you disagree with the opinion of the majority in a thread. This seems to be the case either you make a valid point or not here.

Its all hypothetical in this case anyway.

Don't sweat it. A lot of sarcastic passive aggression. Get used to it. Just because you don't know shite about Ali... ;-)

That wasn't directed at anyone who would pick Fury over Ali. It was directed at whoever said Ali is on the Chisora/Parker level. I'll try to be nicer: that opinion is beyond absurd.

A young Muhammad Ali got shell-shocked by Cooper in -63, but no heavyweights of today would stand a chance of a -67 version of Ali?

I think we just have to agree that we disagree :TU:

Ali did get knocked down when he was still quite young by a very good puncher. He did get up and the torn glove I think was just a few extra seconds.

Ali was way too fast and skilled for Wilder. Fury would have been a tougher nut to crack, but I think he would have eventually cracked it. Ali's skills and hand and foot speed would have made everyone else look silly.

I think you'll find, It's not the opinion that brings a harsh response, rather it's the way the opinion is conveyed that invites ridicule. People ridicule trolls, not fellow boxing fans who simply hold a different opinion.

He looks clumsy, slow, and uncoordinated in comparison. Ali in his prime would beat any current heavy, and embarrass most.
To equal Terrell with Fury is silly.
I didn't say Terrell was equal, I was just giving an example of Ali dominating someone with good skill that is much bigger than he was. Truth be told I don't think Fury would be a problem for someone as slick as Ali was. I am probably one of the few that thinks AJ will KO Fury with an uppercut. Fury stunned himself with his own uppercut a few years back.

I think we just have to agree that we disagree :TU:
A. He was not "shell shocked" againt Cooper in 1963.
B. He was better in 1967.
C. That's right, none of the heavyweights in this phenomenal era that we are in would have a chance against Ali.

Take a look at how Fury has fared against far weaker competition when he fought someone close to Ali's size.
