Covid will change the world.
End racism, war and the destruction of the biosphere..,
but it won't change FWank, allegedly.

For all that I can't fault Henry Turner's third fight as a contest, seems to have been exactly what he needed, reasonably competitive and watchable without putting the prospect in too deep at this early stage.
There's a lot to be said for decent journeymen like Adaway.

I do hope Dempsey brings up the boxrec ranking of Carl Frampton"s opponent in a few weeks...#238Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 14:35‘Looking at the boxrec rankings, which are very respected in the industry, there are four British heavyweights in the top ten’ or something to the tuneskanksta wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 14:27What did he say >?Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 14:18 Nice shoutout to boxrec from Dempsey
This feels bizarre so far, with the MC addressing the home audience directly. Let’s see how it pans out
I'm enjoying this boxing without the so called frills. No silly, long winded ring walks or long delays whilst every pundit gives their view. There is crowd noise but I don't know why they bother. Surely they can tell that it's adding nothing and not needed.

Yeah it's good for the prospect and reasonably watchable - 'twas ever thus.
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
That added crowd noise was horrible last week, I hope they’ve had a re-think.Cholo_cws wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 15:14 I do hope Dempsey brings up the boxrec ranking of Carl Frampton"s opponent in a few weeks...#238

Mr Personality Dubois really whipping up interest in that chat with Buncey.

Cannot remember seeing either of these before Denzel Bentley/Mick Hall
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Yes, the chat with Dubois backfired somewhat. Maybe they should have turned up the crowd noise for that.Kilburn wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 15:26That added crowd noise was horrible last week, I hope they’ve had a re-think.Cholo_cws wrote: ↑25 Jul 2020, 15:14 I do hope Dempsey brings up the boxrec ranking of Carl Frampton"s opponent in a few weeks...#238

The commentary record for Hall is different from what I see. They are saying 11 KOs from the first 12 fights for Hall - similar to Bentley - but according to Boxrec Hall only has 2 stoppages on his record.

Bentley is no Wayne Alexander it would seem.

Hall's best round. 6th coming up (as far as Bentley's been in his career so far)
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Gritty stuff from Hall.
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Haye dropping in the O’Neill Bell comparison with Bentley lol.
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Blimey I did not know Bell had been murdered in 2015.
Rest in peace.

I think that was Howard Eastman they were comparing him to not Hall.
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
These shows are horrendous roll on the matchroom shows. Not a single 50.50 on the card on old fish eyes cards
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Nope. Landed plenty clean, not much effect. Alexander probably would have had Hall in row 3 with the same shots.
Hall was tough and game though. Be interesting to see how well Bentley holds a shot himself, doesn't look hard to find.
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch - 25 July 2020
Ah, thanx Craig, thought it was strange, my mistake.
Anyway for those who missed the action Bentley turned it on in the sixth and Hall did well to get through the onslaught but his corner pulled him out at the end of that round. Hall was one game f*cker.

Hard not to root for a boxing maths teacher that comes out to Queen.

10-9 CB.
Coulda gone the other way, but he landed a couple of sweet bodyshots

20-18 CB
Triple M is strong and game, but CB looks so much faster and looser. Easy to score.

Ramez Mahmood inspired to take up boxing by Amir Khan versus Willie Limond. I know I watched that fight as part of Khan's rise but I don't remember it as anything special.
