romanov vs mcdonagh
peter mcdonagh is fighting yuri romanov on the undercard to graham earl on july 14th, i think this will be a good fight and its the perfect chance for peter to really prove to people what a good boxer he is.

I'd like to think so, but he was on poor form against Earl!!!!
He should have murdered Earl, but looked poop.
If Romanov looks good, I'd like to see a rematch with Earl.
Earl v Romanov kinda reminded me of Barrera v Juarez
You've a workrate orientated guy against a classy guy who can only fight in short bursts. When both Barrera and Romanov decided to turn on the class, the difference in ability was plain to see!! However for reasons of Age, and innactivity (respectivly) neither boxer could keep it up.

Romanov had a long lay off before that fight though didn't he? Even then I scored the fight a draw myself. He should still be more than a match for McDonagh though.JimmyJamJerusalem wrote:I'd like to think so, but he was on poor form against Earl!!!!

I'm a big fan of Romanov, and I mentioned his lay off in the previous thread. My point is if he has honestly put the work in and got back to his best, then NO BRITISH Lightweight will live with him. If he hasn't and he's just here for another payday......Cannibal wrote:Romanov had a long lay off before that fight though didn't he? Even then I scored the fight a draw myself. I really hope he gets his act together as he's a class act, but I fear injury, and his celebrity status backhome may have spoiled him.
Come on Yuri!!!!!
