Try again.
My name is not Leonard, I can assure you you have wrong person. You seem to be as thick as a plank of wood. I remember you were in cahoots with Spud and ran a few forums into the ground before you both got ran off the ESB and Doghouse forums. You used to both badmouth this forum but look where you ended up.
That 'plank of wood' has distorted your memory Lenny. Can't remember your own name, but recall the ins and outs of ESB and Doghouse? Anyone would have thought you got banned and had an axe to grind. I'd elaborate but Ashford and Simpson have just come on.
I was mostly just a lurker at those times as I was very young. I remember the seconds out forum which War*en got shut down. I don't think boxrec had a forum at those times. Even at that age I thought the huge egos of grown men such as yourself and Spud was weird. I can only surmise that you got off on being billy big bollocks on a boxing forum. I'm pretty sure you guys were booted off every forum you were ever on and in hindsight you were never going to have the longevity that boxrec has. Thankfully you were never allowed to ruin this forum as you did the others.

Amount of time spent with each other, money, differing views on training, personality clash, ethics etc Nothing specific, just general.
Speculating but I think Groves and Booth probably got heated and teaboy Spud tried to make his presence felt to calm the situation. Groves, always pretty sharp with his tongue, made a show of Spud who cowered down and bolted to the kitchens.

Who the hell do you think you are, addressing Spud in this way?

Have some respect you nonce
Settle down sweetheart, you’re getting yourself all flustered
The only time KG gets flustered is when he's having a power wank at work upon realising he hasn't got any bog roll. Me personally, I'm furious Spud missed off Huddersfield Leisure Centre and Ponds Forge. But he's contributed more in one post than you have Fizzjambo in 10 years. Imagine being that irelevant.

Now I've finished pissing my pants with laughter at the posts and being completely soaked through, one thing I'd like to chip in is the bit about Paddy getting it in the neck about Groves losing to Froch in the rematch.

I thought Groves was boxing Froch's head off until Carl pulled out that thunder bolt of a right hand.

Can you really legislate for the punch of a lifetime ? Anyone else see the fight that way ?
Aye that’s the way I saw it. Groves boxed beautifully that night, however he was dropping his hands enough to leave the opening there. Groves could always be guilty of that though so seemed a bit harsh to pin it on Fitzpatrick?

Its not for me to go into the ins & outs ... but what I will say in my humble opinion I truly cannot stand GG. Of course totally my point of view.

I was totally delighted Callumn Smith whooped him in Saudi Arabia and I was there to see it.
groves seemed to bounce from trainer to trainer not for knowledge ,but because he blamed everyone else for his own failings, personaly never liked groves as a person, but who cares iant living with him.i take it he never had strong family behind him, as he seemed lost

Yes he did work for various promoters, was not a licence holder, enjoyed his boxing, I 1st met him when we was in aldershot with Julius Francis training for Tyson fight, then Frank allowed him to follow us to Manchester, frank liked him, gave him some driving wotk, till he had a car crash with boxers inside, but he is a nice guy, Loved to think he was security, we had some laughs, GIVE HIM CREDIT!!
Reasonably accurate Eric 😉

The car crash was one sunday when I had to take Victor Baranov to Heathrow but only got as far as Holloway.

That was a week before Lennox v Botha.

Plenty happened after that ... 20 years & plenty of fantastic memories

He is the proud tea-boy at boxing events. Known for making a cuppa for Mick Hennessey. Plenty of sugar. His reputation for making a cuppa was so good that he got scouted by the Saudi's where as he says he got to enjoy GG getting done by Smith.
He made it further than you though, Leonard? Reckon your 5 minutes was up ages ago, despite you combing your hair to go on telly. It just took the suits a little longer than us to realise you were full of poo.
Who is this Leonard chap you speak so fondly of?

I’ve seen Spud working behind the scenes at a few Sky shows and a friend of mine from Hull flew home from Latvia with him from an Usyk fight. He got a bit of a crowd into a Haye fight in Huddersfield and I’ve seen him around Booth a lot. The man has done more than 99% of people on here.

I am not claiming to know everything that went on that led to the break up .... but its a FACT that I know some of the factors.

I was in the gym on the very last day Groves visited Hayemaker HQ

Its because of that last night I cannot stand Groves.

As for being a delusional gopher ... its a fact many boxing fans would have given their right arm to have the experiences I have had in boxing ...indeed one of my jobs at Hayemaker HQ was sifting through the many applications of people who wanted my job.

Keep the insults coming

THANK YOU to those who have PM’d me messages of support.
What happened that last day?

Yeah he’s worked as a whip for several promoters, that’s my understanding of things.

Spud helped a lot of promoters, but he was never a whip. You have to be licenced for that.

Nobody seems to be particularly disputing that Mikey (I’m not anyway) but he is doing a good job of coming across as a bit of a insecure egotist with a chip on his shoulder?

That said though I’m not trying to take anything away from the guy. If he’s got Parkinson’s he’s got a hard go so good luck to him

I remember Rhino winding you up with a thread called ‘Enzo Maccarinelli has no chin’
And then just a photograph of Enzo with his chin airbrushed out.

Who was Enzo’s stalker? Flint Island?
