Those were some bad scorecards. I had Payano/Roman a draw.

dozed off there

Was that controversial ?
I thought Roman won the 12th but was about 3/4-1 down when I fell asleep.

It was a close fight...but I don’t think the winner is at all controversial

Lions/tigers, Africa/jungle, jesse vargas/canelo - whats the difference really? Not much. The most important thing here is PBC! PBC!

Vargas was killing himself to get down to 147. Why he lost so many at that weight. He will be in prime form and probably run the division at 160. No clue why were even wasting our time talking Charlo Canelo etc. All will soon be irrelevant once Jesse cleans the division or chases them off to other divisions.

With Dazn's possible savings if Canelo accepts the pay cut deal, they could finally offer him his true worth of 15m a fight :yay:

Will be going up to 168 soon after that. Think Andre Ward was quoted as saying that was the only fight he would come out of retirement for. Just to get sent back in to retirement (and probably never commentate boxing again.) Then Vargas will load up on the tamales and be around 225 to take on the likes of Fury Joshua and Usyk. Will probably go down as the greatest HW of all time. Easily.

All funny, but I think you went a bit far at the end. Jesse Vargas doesn't beat a pre-costume Wilder. Only person that could/has is Fury or Keven McBride.

Peter Mcneely could beat all three of them. At the same time.

Charlo was like that Energizer Bunny which is probably because of lack of PED testing.

Good we will have Nery/Roman, at least.

Either Charlo nearly crushed Rosario's diaphragm or Jeison totally faked. Bizzarre ending.

Rosario looked like he got shot in the stomach not hit with a soft jab. Interesting to see if there’s an injury.

I had it 8-4 for Charlo & I definitely agree that Jermall's win over Sergey was more convincing than GGG's or Jacobs'. Clearly best performance yet by Charlo and IMO he is still improving under the guidance of Ronnie Shields. I'm definitely anticipating Jermall's next fight.

8-4 is the max possible score for Charlo. I had it 7-5. But, yes, Charlo improved. That was his first really big test. I expected him to fail it, but he managed to pass it.

Think Jacobs or GGG will be stepping in with him before retirement? Other guys think Canelo won't go back to 160 to fight him and I'm not sure if Oscar will risk putting Munguia in with him.

GGG and Jacobs both need Charlo, while Charlo needs them. Those two have nothing to lose and not much time left. They can cash out and even more, while they are still credible. Charlo needs to defend against the best, only this way he can improve further and prove himself to be a great champion.

Munguia will be protected for sure.

Canelo-Charlo sounds as a superb matchup and it'll be the biggest payday for Canelo, he'd better forget different yldirims and be back at the MW.

I could see someone from 154 going up to fight Jermall Charlo, like Jarrett Hurd or Lara.
