Had sparred loads of rounds with Jupp, very tall for the weight and could Box Jupp was coming in as an opponent Was meant to be an easy nights work.

yeah fair play to jupp. came in professionally, did a professional job and handled himself well afterward. very tough lad and did british boxing a favour by humbling smith. i do want to see smith do well. he's got talent and id love to see him come back and win a british title

I’ve sat next to trainers at unlicensed weigh ins rub out the proper weight and alter it to make it match with the opponent. And been laughing whilst doing it.

Yeah the matching can be a bit ropey at some shows.

The charity angle is total rubbish too. Probably about 5 quid goes to charity and the rest gets trousered.

It gets really dangerous when one guy knows what he’s doing, like Smith, and the opponent hasn’t a clue who he is.

very dangerous indeed. Smith was whipping them in too. A few hard body shots went in. Although he did throw a few light punches as well. What he should have done is just moved around and thrown arum punches (jim watt) for a 4 round decision. He might have feared having a heart attack if he had done that.
