A bit of good news UK fans.. If you have Fite tv app.

The prelims which start at 12:30am til 3am, before the 3 fight main card, will be free!

So you're only paying for 3 fights tbh..

Looking forward to this one ,, Think Loma should do it , but theres a reason they have weight divisions , and its simply brcuase bigger men hit harder ,,, So experience , technique , ect ect ect ,, you would think its LOmas fight ,, but got a feeling IF and thats IF Lopez can get the timing right and punch with him , landing a couple of big ones , it could change the course of this fight .

But then again thats my way of sitting on the fence

Agreed. Don't believe the hype Lopez has beaten no-one. Commey was a weak title holder.

Loma too fast, too smart, too experienced. He’ll outbox Lopez though Lopez looks fired up so will probably hear the final bell.

I think Loma wins every round. It's great Lopez has that self-belief, but he's in for a boxing lesson. I'm sure he'll learn a lot from the fight though and bounce back pretty quick, he's got age on his side.

I stand corrected, the WBC 'Franchise' title is on the line too.

So I take it Devin Hainey is the WBC champion, despite Lomachenko winning the same title against Luke Campbell...and Campbell v Garcia is for the interim title ! Madness

All this franchise sh!t is so ridiculous and annoying. Loma won that belt, while it was vacant. Haney got some paper belt. I take Haney as a sorta WBC mandatory and I take Loma-Lopez as a fight for the undisputed championship.

I consider it undisputed, Loma is at the top of the wbc heirarchy at 135

the situation is kinda like haney being the 'regular' champ that the wba has and loma being super champ

I think he's just showing he means business, but the task ahead must be dawning on him.

Lomachenko not fazed in the slightest, seen it all before.

Really don’t think people switch like that, boxing fans are fans of boxing MMA wouldn’t float their boat, it’s like saying unhappy tennis fan are switching to watching badminton or football fans to rugby, it doesn’t happen, casual viewers might end up veering to prefering another sport but actual fans of a sport generally stick it out. If they’re cornering the market on young fans with no alliances either way then that’s a different matter.

Lopez previous opponents have been there to be hit, he’ll be swinging all night with Loma and hitting thin air.

handsofstone wrote: 14 Oct 2020, 16:05 Buzzing for this think I'll even get up to watch it live, not done that since Fury/Wilder rematch, hoping my man Lomachenko does the bizz, i think he does, older man and naturally smaller but a superior boxer to anyone who's laced on gloves ever IMO, Lopez is clearly a dangerous young fighter and annihilated Commey but I think back to the fight before when he wasnt great, I think Loma takes him to school, similar to the Russell Jr fight, maybe more convincing

A real superfight this one.

And a 50/50 despite the polling.
It’s not !
When did a young puncher beat an established master-boxer ?
You're right it isn't a 50/50 in that sense.

Should have qualified it by saying I think it's more 50/50 than the polling suggests. Doubt there would be many that would be too surprised if Lopez lands, hurts and wins or if Loma puts on another masterclass as expected.

Really looking forward to it and seeing the mix of these two elite guys. :TU:

Its a fight I won't make a prediction on - because either way it could look one-sided ... Loma wins every round, or Loma gets KO'd in 3rd round😑

But what a future Lopez should have after this. As long as he doesn't get a 12rnd sustained beating this has potential to provide the learning experience Canelo got from Mayweather. I am sure Lopez corner would not allow him to keep swinging like Lacey was allowed to against Calzaghe if things got punishing, so if he doesn't land the big punch to get the win it will still be a great learning experience, and he only gets better at age 23yrs.

It's a throwback to the old days when young fighters were allowed to risk a loss early in their careers knowing it would be a benefit to their development.

And yet this is the type of big time boxing that puts MMA in its rightful place: a very distant 2nd place in the rear view mirror.

Lacy never looked that dangerous, a tv manufactured one paced clubber who was always gonna get stood on his head by Joe.

Lopez looks far more dangerous - with the huge factor of size advantage

What do we reckon they’ll weigh tonight ?

Hindsight is a fantastic thing - Lacey was seen as the real deal back then; he looked everything as dangerous; it was only when Calzaghe exposed him was all his limitations and hype really identified.

The same could be said about the 23 year old 15 fight Lopez; there are no names on his record that identify him as having the skills to beat Loma .. just his highlight reel of him bowling guys over.
