There is nothing to stop boxers fighting under another organisation. The Boxing Board do not have the monopoly to govern pro boxing in the UK.
 100% correct it’s a freedom of choice as to whether boxers are licensed by the board or others simple as that
I know in Korea there's like 6 bodies, is that possible in the UK? What's REALLY different between BBBofC, BIBA and white collar? At the end of the day...
Exactly,nothing at all.

The difference is who they are affiliated to.
You can only fight for proper titles with the BBBoC

no,no lets say joe blow is a pro in London and is not licenced by the BBBOC. if Joe gets a pro licence in Germany and that licencing body is affiliated to the EBU,WBO,WBC,whoever, then job done. also,if ex inspectors and licence holders decide to form a new board, then they could apply to all these sanctioning bodies for membership and succeed.

Not as simple as that mate all the well established commissions and sanctioning bodies close ranks to keep anybody else out of the lucrative cash cow which is boxing administration

I understand what your saying but if for example Tyson Fury signed with the new 'board' do you not think the WBA would not sanction his fight? how about if Warren or Hearn jump ship and join the new 'Board' do you not think life would not go on?

Yeah of course I get what you’re saying but it won’t happen Warren was the biggest promotor when he went to Luxembourg etc which was an alternative board ask yourself this why did he go back to the board after just one show ?

Because he took the control and the board buckled. everytime a promoter moves away or stands up to the board they buckle. and that's what needs to be done. the sooner more of the the licence holders accept that the board work for them and not the other way round the better.

Perhaps you ought to approach them and get it started then now is an ideal time as not many shows and licences to deal with

Noooooo ! There’s enough alphabet soup titles in boxing , we don’t now need a jumble of other boards. Also do you really think those Micky mouse boards will be fairer??? They’ll be worse !

The obvious ones. There should be a greater feedback system and transparent hearings to weed out the useless officials. There should also be a greater drive to bring up newer referees so you know it’s not simply a job for life and you can do what you want.

What do you think they should do ?

Just listening to the latest Boxing News podcast where Robert Smith has come on to defend O’Connor. Fair play to Matt and Steedman for attempting to push the issue and get some real answers, but Smith basically gives generic answers about how it’s all subjective and Terry is a good guy. Old boys club is right, unfortunately.

Was a weird listen. Smith saying in the first bit Terry gave plausible explanation for his scoring then was alluding that it won’t happen again with him as though they’ve spoken to him. Interview was not consistent. To say ANY scores are justified as it’s a game of opinions is just ridiculous by the way. Also admitted they did not go through the fight with him as basically everyone had seen it!

Exactly, it didn’t make any sense. Like I said, fair play to Christie and Steedman for the questions asked, because I do think they pushed as hard as they could without blatantly calling the answers out as bullshit. But ultimately nothing is changing and it’s just been swept under the carpet.

I wonder if Smith thought anything wrong with Marcus McDonnell's 116-113 Vazquez card
