But that was kind of due to Fury’s style. Just unpredictable.
Unpredictable my ass. There were times when he stood in a corner with both arms outstretched on the ropes. That's as open as somebody gets. And STILL Wlad just f*cking stared at him.

If you ain't gonna take that free shot, why even show up?

No it’s not below the belt and it’s all true. Furys a big grown ass man so I doubt he’ll be upset by any of this. Just because he’s suffered from mental health issues in the past doesn’t mean he’s some delicate flower and doesn’t deserve any criticism for past actions.

How you gonna counter somebody with your arms out by your side? He wasn't even set to punch. He could've flailed his arm, he wouldn't have had sh*t on it.

Don't punch at where his head is. Punch at where you think it's gonna move to. When you strike he's gonna duck either down and to the right or down and to the left. So throw it there, and he might duck right into it in that situation.

Of course that would only happen if you actually THROW THE GODDAMN PUNCH.

The fact that people act as if Fury did something special in that fight is a joke. Wlad fought like an absolute gutless coward.

I honestly reckon that Wlad was a bit "spooked" by Fury's pre fight stuff - threatening to walk etc - just got him off his guard - but there is a still a case he got a draw cos Fury did next to eff all also.

I think he took him lightly too. Everyone did.

Styles make fights and all but it was a different wlad against AJ. He really had something to prove.

No there's not a case.

Fury didn't do much, but Wlad did absolutely goddamn nothing. I could've put up a better fight even if I'd got knocked out in the 1st round.

I agree.

i have the upmost respect for what Fury has achieved, but if he is the 'true fighting man' that he claims to be then he is more than capable of owning his own words and doesn't need a Twitter army to fight his battles for him.

I doubt Fury is overly concerned by Wlad's comments, it might lead to a little Twitter war that passes the time for an evening or two, but that's about it.

Wladamir said in the post fight press conference that he couldn't throw his right because "before the right hand the left must come first" or something along those lines.

I thought that was a really odd thing to say. The guy who ruled the division for a decade had such little punch variety or imagination in the ring that he had to set up everything with the jab or it wouldn't work?

And has he ever been pushed to the limit through the years of his reign?

Wlad had a great jab, to be fair to him, so when he couldn't land it he was completely flummoxed. He was also happily cheating with the ring until he was called out on it, and I don't suppose that advantage being ripped away from him helped.

I know we cannot go on commentators card - but Glenn McCory had it level going into the 12 and somehow gave that round for Fury.

In some of the rounds it was a case of what you prefer - stalking forward doing nothing vs showboating doing nothing.

It really was one of the worse fights of all time and yet it has seemed to gone down in folklore as a masterclass etc. Fury fighting that way in Germany was a HUGE gamble, there is no way he could have been close to certain that he had it - infact his reaction was quite a shock really.... but now off course he was always in control and I even heard Warren call it a clinic, a schooling and suggested he won every round.

Fury is one of these guys who you can see a track record of opponents dropping their work rate against him---that shows it's something about him that does it.

We've all been around boxing long enough to know how a more skillful and awkward boxer can turn a guy's output to poop. It wasn't just Wlad. Wilder's output dropped, Chisora's output dropped, Hammer' s output dropped, etc

Now, considering how tentative Wlad already was to start, you get a shocking fight when he's even more reluctant, but no doubt it was one where Fury was the one having that impact on Wlad. And from Fury's perspetive, why box any other way when it was working so well? he was very effective in exploiting wlad's natural hesistation and making the problem even worse, that's part of what smart fighters do.

i am no fury advocate, but a lot of people massively downplay his wlad win (true some overrate it too). was on the road, in the champs backyard as b -side too, with a ref that was generous to wlad

Fury didn't kick Wlads ass or teach him a boxing lesson or anything like that. It was a completely sh*t fight between two guys afraid to throw punches for 12 rounds. Fury can consider himself fortunate to have gotten that decision in Germany. I'm delighted Wlad has to live with Furys taunts. He deserves it for that performance. Manny Steward might have explained to him in the corner that he's going to have to live the rest of his life with these taunts and maybe he'd have thrown a punch but it's doubtful.

I think we’d have seen a different Wlad in a rematch. Wlad redeemed himself vs AJ. One for the most entertaining HW fights for drama. Just wish he’d have fight more like that during his reign, but then why risk it when it works?

Because it was AJ, who wasn't at the Fury's level of elusiveness and overall skillset.

Yeah, it was a purely intentional foul. And god damn ref was closely looking at it, but still ignoring it!

Every single time Wlad starts wanking on about what a great moral authority he is compared with Fury, Tyson should just respond with that GIF. Nothing more tiresome than that smug arsehole going on about what a shining example he is after making a career of dicking with the away fighter over and over and over again. His antics on the day of the Fury fight very nearly caused it to be cancelled.

As I have already mentioned the Klitschko gentlemen rhetoric has always irritated me.

I don’t need boxers to be Doctors and fluent in 20 languages .

Just respectful and honest will do for me .

Vitali was a beast . Wlad not so much.

Rumours of 1990s mafia connections. Steroid use ( Vitali failed tests ) . The sneaky stuff they used to get up to when they promoted fights as K2 . The fact they are proud Ukrainians but Wlad lives in Germany and Vitali spent most of his time in LA until he became mayor of Kiev.

I wonder about the doctorates too, at the University of Kiev ... allegedly as legit as half of the NFL players degrees

Not to mention the shoe lifts :)

Is the gentleman stuff all just a media creation??

Vitali can't be a gentleman already because of the fact of becoming another corrupt politician.

By the way, it's common to consider Vitali smart only by people, who don't know Ukrainian and Russian (which are native for him), because, after Vitali became a polititian and started to appear in the media more often, he got exposed. Vitali absolutely can't talk, his speeches are full of bloopers, grammar and semantic errors. He became a popular meme in post-Soviet countries.

Wasn’t it a Phd in something along the lines of evading ped detection? I always thought these fvkcwrs are keeping it ‘in-house’
