ESPN, Top Rank’s home network, rates Crawford as being the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, despite his thin resume and his own admission of Kell Brook being his biggest test.

Do you think it’s reasonable to rate him so highly, considering his most recent notable victory happened almost 3½ years ago?

And if so, at what point are we supposed to lose patience?

Personally-speaking, if he doesn’t face a top-five rated welterweight during 2021, then I’ll consider him a hype job that doesn’t deserve to be considered a top-ten pound-for-pounder.

My words might seem harsh, but he’s the only person that should be blamed for choosing the pay cheque over sporting legacy and credibility.

And I won’t applaud him or rate him based on what might have been, had he chosen a different career path.

It annoys the hell out of me to think that the media seems impressed by Crawford winning a fight most of us predicted as being blatantly horrendous mismatch.

Well the media are hardly impartial are they?

Watching that it's arguable that the one sided odds were not one sided enough.

Yet another smooth Vegas business transaction for Grampa Bob.

Brook's punch resistance seems to be totally gone now.

Maybe he didn't see the punch.

Maybe the gross weight cutting and rehydrating chronically weakened him.
The way a body recovers at 24 and 34 are liable to be quite different.

Or maybe he's just a shot fighter now.

Brook like Khan needs to seriously consider retirement.

If he's not financially secure for life (after the taxman and the rest have had their cuts he might not be) maybe Amir and Kell could give it one more go.

A kind of a testimonial, though I suspect Amir has done far better when it comes to the business side of things.

As does Crawford, who at 33 has managed to
take a very safe risk v reward course through his career.

Crap resume though if a 34 year old weight drained battle worn Kell Brook is the best name on the list.

He kinda walking into that shot which first staggered him back. Worse kind of shot. Going head first into a fist which is coming at you with power and speed.

You nailed an 11-1 favorite. Very impressive.

I have a hard time believing this claim, because three years ago (shortly after the Indongo fight, which was held at 140lbs), Terence Crawford posted a tweet of his weighing scales illustrating the fact that he weighed 177lbs. That's a 37lbs weight gain since the official weigh-in.

His between fight walkaround street weight must have increased a fair bit since then.

When Crawford defended his 135lbs title against Yuriorkis Gamboa, six years or so ago, he entered the ring weighing 152lbs. He was absolutely gigantic for a lightweight.

Surely he's currently too big and old to drain himself to make 135lbs and also be strong at the weight.

Is he simply trying to grab headlines by promising something he has no intention of doing?

That would be a really bad idea. Hell at 140 he'd have Josh Taylor, Regis Prograis and I'm sure very soon Teofimo Lopez. That'd be more interesting than 135 anyway.

Most of the titleholders at 154 are PBC guys too ain't they? So he'd probably have the same problem there he's having at Welterweight.

I would assume this tweet was just frustration at being told yet again "We can't get you the big fights"

I think he's just joking around. There is a 0% chance that actually happens.
