ESPN, Top Rank’s home network, rates Crawford as being the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, despite his thin resume and his own admission of Kell Brook being his biggest test.
Do you think it’s reasonable to rate him so highly, considering his most recent notable victory happened almost 3½ years ago?
And if so, at what point are we supposed to lose patience?
Personally-speaking, if he doesn’t face a top-five rated welterweight during 2021, then I’ll consider him a hype job that doesn’t deserve to be considered a top-ten pound-for-pounder.
My words might seem harsh, but he’s the only person that should be blamed for choosing the pay cheque over sporting legacy and credibility.
And I won’t applaud him or rate him based on what might have been, had he chosen a different career path.
It annoys the hell out of me to think that the media seems impressed by Crawford winning a fight most of us predicted as being blatantly horrendous mismatch.

I have a hard time believing this claim, because three years ago (shortly after the Indongo fight, which was held at 140lbs), Terence Crawford posted a tweet of his weighing scales illustrating the fact that he weighed 177lbs. That's a 37lbs weight gain since the official weigh-in.
That would be a really bad idea. Hell at 140 he'd have Josh Taylor, Regis Prograis and I'm sure very soon Teofimo Lopez. That'd be more interesting than 135 anyway.
