And JJ looked really relaxed on his stool

Always wanted to see AJ vs Joyce since their amateur days - yes Joyce is slow and one demensional and I'll say it again - slow. But I actually think his style could give him problems. I'm not convinced by Joshua's stamina and Joyce has the power to hurt him. I think he can take his shots also.
He looks upset.

FW keeps saying Usyk vs. DDD..

Now JJJ can get a rematch with Usyk.

Haye’s right it will take 4/5 years for DDD to get to world champ level. Say what you want about likes of whyte and chisora but those guys have proven they can bite down on their gum shields even when tired and finish out a fight. They’ve spoken about DDD fighting those guys but he ain’t ready

Haven't seen a fight won (at decent level) with literally one shot all night since Wright - Trinidad

I had a couple of quid at 3/1. I knew it was good value...
Been telling all my mates who bet to back Joyce at that price, crazy odds, all this talk of DD stopping him early was nonsense, the guy is as tough as they come. Thought this came well too early for DD, was a MASSIVE jump up in class!

Shades of Brook against Spence

I was on the Dubois train but have always had love for Joyce, he is literally like George Foreman, he's easy to take the piss out of but who needs speed and head movement anyway? :OhYes:

Far too many people got themselves moist on the power of Dubois, but it was against weak opposition and frankly his record is very poor. Yet another lesson to never get to hung up on power punchers.

He can come again, but his lack of head movement and then quitting, Not good.

Joyce basically beat him with one hand, he only landed about 5 right hands.
Yeah he whacked a string of obscure journeyman. When has that ever guaranteed success against better, more durable opposition?

I didn't understand the hype around DDD and am happy I went big for JJ.

big punches but Joyce is Oliver McCall incarcerated
I was mentally comparing JJ to McCall throughout the fight. He's a beast, he wasn't even breathing or barely sweating after all that. Hasn't got the tools to deal with Fury or probably Joshua though.

TalkSPORT were saying pre fight Joyce’s jab is lazy and just a distance finder to set up clubbing shots and DDD has the class jab 😂

Also, I loved the Dubois/Joyce fight. It reminded me how engrossing, entertaining, fascinating and just plain fun boxing can be when it's good. I watched a small bit of the two main undercard fights and found them hard work. My interest waned so much that I toyed with the idea of going to bed.

After Dubois/Joyce I find myself all enthused about the sport.

I'm now tempted to buy Jones/Tyson, but I shall resist.

Similar to what happened to Benn when his eye closed and he went down from a jab against Mike Watson, basically quit, then turned things around amazingly a year later

I have to say this, though...

The forum and this thread are absolutely live tonight. Been lots of conflicting views and opinions it’s great. Been a good while since the last thread like this.

I think DDD taking too much flak, he’ll come again and he didn’t exactly disgrace himself.

Benn through the kitchen sink and gassed and went down from a Watson 1-2 from memory.
