Left eye completely closed.. started closing from round 3..

Joyce was landing that jab at ease.

Just like FW said, it was a fight of the jab. Who ever landed it would take advantage.
I’ve only seen the end where he took the knee, could see it was closed. No cut?

Had no way of seeing it and didn’t get home till about half way through.

I fancied Dubois to win this. Was it competitive?
Yes it was competitive. Anyone got the scorecards?

Was a close fight.. both won rounds..

Joyce won rounds just of his jab alone. DD won rounds when he had a glimmer of success.

Didn’t really just JJ though. He seemed so relaxed throughout.

Dubois did seem a little tired after a few rounds.

why is that? i worry he may be a bit broke from that, at least going right back in with thhe guy who made him quit

was worrying how easy that jab was landing

a minute in to the fight and joe had probably landed 10 clean jabs already
i think dubios landed some very hurt full shots durning the fight and hurt joe,i dont think joe buzzed dan though his jab busted his eye in the end , i had dan winning , so in the next fight move your head , were joe cant take away that power, joe had a better chin than i thought , dan can win that rematch , why not, did you have joyce wining wide on your card

Didn't see Joyce remotely troubled by anything in there .

I do think there are positives for Dubois. His response to the initial pressure was impressive, and consistently so for quite a few rounds.

The result / finish was a nightmare but he still answered a few questions about himself. He could have a bright future after this.

It was completely shut. There needs to be serious questions as to why a doctor wasn't even called in to look at it. IJL was the ref ofcourse. Inept.
Yeah it looked fully closed on the clip I saw.

Shoddy refereeing?

joe joyce (the olympian who truthfully deserved gold WAY more than AJ did) has been criminally underrated by the oh so knowledgeable boxing fans. Always fancied him to be a fighter greater than the sum of his parts.

A rematch would be career suicide for Dubois. He needs to go back to the drawing board and fight solid, taxing opponents picked from the vast chasm that exists between Kevin Johnson and Joe Joyce.

I think joyce threw about 5 right hands, landed about 2, and they were so slow that they did nothing. He is just a porper big hard dopey unit with a Jab that dosent look amazing but if an absolute fornicating wepon. DDD didnt like that jab from round 1. 10 rounds of it stoped him. joyce didnt even act like he was ever going to throw a right, just jabbed away.

When your eye snaps it's natural to go straight into protection mode.

Oh ffs

He QUIT in the fight mate. It was the definition of quitting. He reminded me of Ohara Davies quitting like that.
