Professional bodybuilding 'cycles' really aren't safe. Are you implying somehow that they are?ERIC GUY wrote: ↑27 Nov 2020, 15:54if you read about andreas muntzer, , you would really know the cycle he was on, he was an abusive user, polecateddy wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 11:03 The ruin a long term drug program does to an athletes internal organs is pretty horrifying. I think the worst one I read about was top professional bodybuilder Andreas Munzer. Dead at 31. I think his blood was described as a gloopy mess, and his liver had turned into a crumbling mass resembling polystyrene. Heart twice the size it should have been. Yuck! You see interviews with middle aged retired bodybuilders, often back to very normal sizes, and the overriding impression is they're just very glad to still be alive after taking all that crap.

Spud, I remember you from when I first signed on, but I didn't frequent the Brit forum much then. Recently recall your name came up with regards to being in recovery from a spat of ill health, so hope your return is a signal all is well now.
Please forgive me as I've been at this modern PEDs thing for 20 years now, and 30 years before in my natural science major that myself, physics majors, and premeds populated. Also in my medical training where I worked nights to put myself thru school. I've pretty much broken down the basics by now, so I tend to be highly dismissive of the obviously untutored, perhaps arrogantly so.
For starters, Canelo never "failed" a drug test. He tested positive for infinitesimal ghost nanograms in the middle of drug testing by VADA/WBC clean boxing program well below the "fail" minimum consistent with local food contamination that Mexico is notorious for. It was the untested Vegas commish suddenly implementing their Zero Drug policy suspension soon discarded after their idiocy was shown to them.
We have forum members bragging about their own illicit drug use on this forum responsible for financing the great murderous Drug cartels making misery on the world. True confessions, a lifetime ban needed? Big Pharma has got, what, 90% of the Western world hooked on legal drugs including Viagra that has been used to assault young girls, such that now our wildlife and most especially sea life is testing positive for this and that and the other. Are we to ban our innocent wildlife for us polluting our Mother Earth too?
In context, I resent the current dialogue that seeks to discredit me by false, anecdotal, subjective dialogue in the most vicious slandering when talking about other boxers or athletes that could've been me starting as a 15 year old coming of age all the way thru to today.
The beauty of mankind's historic survival has been the ability to quickly assess any sudden, potentially life threating situation for good, but that instinct quickly became a liability as our global populations began to coalesce where over simplification by leaders have led to horrid wars and environmental destruction not to mention tragic interpersonal interactions and so on.
We ain't all on PEDs much less legal drugs though the majority of the world probably uses tobacco and alcohol products. Asking lowbrow fans in the most lowbrow, cheating sport in history to evolve for the sake of a noble sport by design may be asking a lot, but not being The Grand Poohbah, it's the best I can do for now. Top boxers are way more tested than top NFL, MLB, and NBA players, so how about accolades

So drugs are wrong, unless they taken in permissive circumstances to enhance the nobility of mankind. Gotcha. Re: Boxing ... PEDs
Various scientific studies have come up with some amazing results. They showed that in comparing steroid use and non-steroid use, they actually found their groups using steroids and doing no exercise at all actually gained significantly more lean muscle mass than the natural bodybuilders who were weight training but not using drugs. Dopers can literally do nothing and get bigger than the poor buggers working their asses off in the gym and trying to be clean!

Re: Boxing ... PEDs
yea i ve read that before there is a lot of studies that prove that is the case, its the same with the actors who put on serious musclemass in like 6 weeks it cant be done, its like after something like 28 or 30 or that age your body starts losing muscle, unless you train weights, i look at mike tyson him training for the olympic squad days 15 or 16 and just think nah , my mate of jamican decent in primary school bigest kid about was id say at a 11 was 5 ,10 problay 13 stone ish i see him now iam taller thats what iam judging it . i dont remember anyone the build of tyson in iner city london schools, i judge that on as i have been weight lifting since 16 on n off 30s now.polecateddy wrote: ↑04 Dec 2020, 08:39 Various scientific studies have come up with some amazing results. In my opinion, if you're not on job without PED or you need PEDs for that physical/mental edge, then don't turn up...
Most are still cracking fighters without PEDs but the PEDs give that 'final touch', but it's all bulls**t if you ask me
However, most are shrewd enough to mask it & keeping it out the game is a lost cause in my opinion
can condemn it till you go blue in the face it's still gonna go on

Top powerlifters and American footballers say the same. If you need to 'flip the ace card' to keep up before you are one of the very best, you'll never be one of the very best I.e. if you need steroids to play college football, you've no hope of getting drafted for the NFL.Oiky wrote: ↑08 Jan 2021, 16:19 In my opinion, if you're not on job without PED or you need PEDs for that physical/mental edge, then don't turn up...

Agree about recovery. Whilst in the forces in my twenties I could recover from pretty much any training load so easily (naturally), I couldn't get my head around why some of my senior colleagues in their mid to late thirties struggled until I was their age. Some of them used to keep up and stay fresh whilst under significant mental stress aswell.
Quite a few older lads who had served with blokes who'd been in the Falklands said amphetamines were being munched down like sweets out there. I can believe it from what I saw on ops.
Re: Boxing ... PEDs
fair play to you mate, like you say the older you get the stress burns you out not just physically but mentally too, honestly i think sport is riddled with peds , but i also think a lot of athletes dont know there gearingJimmy2020 wrote: ↑08 Jan 2021, 17:53Yes.brilo33 wrote: ↑08 Jan 2021, 17:32is that a dave tate quote, he is right i think about american football, but i think boxing ,ufc is different cause of the weight class and power and recovery i heard after the ufc did ped tests a lot of the suspects fighters never won many fights after, i said this before its not just about size i think soccer as are american brothers call it , it helps with recovery which is vital in sport i would say number 1Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑08 Jan 2021, 16:46

totally understood jim what you were saying , i just was wafling on to something else ,i would also say jim but being in war situations your brain is going to be using up so much adrenaline cortisol so on so , i am thinking there going to need that or other wise you will be wiped out, you see what these fighter jet pilots get now the same kind of thing
