Poor Boomer can’t get over it. He said the ref saved his life, twice....
I remember thinking, against Stevenson and Usyk “the ref better jump in and save him because this lad doesn’t know how to quit”

No. IFL last night... even if he’d been hit with a baseball bat he couldn’t quit. Duke Dolan told him, he really did, simple as that.

This is true ;

A definition of Quitter off the internet :

A person who gives up easily or does not have the courage or determination to finish a task.

Bellew should demonstrate his inability to quit by allowing himself to be voluntarily waterboarded.

Bad enough all the boxers digging Dubois for quitting at least they've been there and put themselves at risk. Risible that someone who makes a grand living out of the game should try to cast doubt over a nasty injury to a young boxer. Unfortunately the wnker has probably never taken a punch in his life let alone fought to the end with a severe injury.
Fickle old game isnt it. I guarantee you that if DDD bounces back with 6 good wins in the next 2 years and decides to change promoter whilst on the verge of a world title tilt.......EH will be at the head of the queue to sign him. :OhYes: :OhYes:

I see it as the same as Dubois. Cracked ribs. fornicate this live to fight another day,
I didn't think JLC could get up because he'd had the wind smashed out of him by that bodyyshot. Never imagined it to be a quit job.

I see Dubois trainer has come out and said the plan was to give Daniel one more round and then pull him out, so that was his last round regardless.

I've re-watched that tenth, and Dubois didn't come out and give it a go, he got humbled with some good jabs straight away, like he had been for most of the fight - Circled the ring for a few seconds took another jab and then took a knee and sat out the count.

What I find laughable about people like Dixon and his article here is - Where is the condemnation of the ringside doctor, who could quite easily have stepped up and had a closer look at the eye at anytime. What about the ref, who's got a history of making a mess of things, he didn't once take a closer look at the eye, or call the doctor in. Then we have the trainer who kept sending his man out when he was clearly struggling. Then we have Warren who just wants to blame Hearn for everything.

I don't blame Dubois for sitting it out, no one was protecting him. The saying is protect yourself at all times, well in my opinion that was what Dubois did, because the people there who are supposed to protect him failed massively.

Has Frank banned BS from speaking to him? Rob Tebbut is the best out of the guys who regularly do interviews and gives both Frank and Eddie a hard time. Kugan and Umar take it easy on Frank and are less direct with Eddie than Rob is.

Call him or quitter or dont call him a quitter, but dubois is a mentally weak fighter and basically admitted it himself on the weekend.

said he was disheartened by the ref's call of a low blow and couldnt muster up anything because he was so discouraged by it. what an awful mindset. a killer instead looks at it like 'i know i can hurt him, he's feeling it now, i've got him vulnerable'
