Three hour interview with George Groves is simply brilliant. Best one yet IMO. I know he divides opinion on this forum but his insights and honesty make this absolute gold. Essential listening if you're a boxing fan IMO.

I've downloaded but 3 and a half hours seems a bit daunting. Got a long shift tomorrow so I'll give it a go.

Haven't finished the Groves one yet (about 2 hours in) and it is excellent. Groves goes in to detail about the Booth spilt, having never given such detail before. It's an interesting insight as on one hand he seems to respect Booth's coaching ability and talks of training with him fondly, but on the other hand he goes into his character and suggests that Booth was quite controlling. Plus 25% management fee - is that the norm?

I'd politely disagree - I was surprised to see how long it was and thought I'd listen to it over a week or so, but as with the best books, time flew by. All depends on the subject- I've always been a massive Benn fan, but his was boring and I tuned out in less than an hour, while despite supporting Froch when they fought I found Groves compelling, honest and insightful. Definitely went up in my estimation.

For me, the fact the pods are longer and more in-depth is part of what makes them different and interesting. There are already loads of 45min interviews with quite a few of the people elsewhere online already. I think if he cut them down to that length you'd just end up hearing the same stuff you've heard before in a lot of cases.

Fair enough mate - for what it's worth I think it's easy to break them down i.e. think of Groves as a 6-part series of 30 mins each.

Thanks for the replys guys ,,, I came across it on u tube ,, very good , always liked Groves it was a very good interview , that guy interviewing is very good is'nt he ,, asked the right questions and let him answer , I think most could learn from him .. Think Kugan who's had access to all the fighters for a while now , should watch and learn how its done .

Those towers ones made me cringe, he didnt seem like he had changed from the past, it was full of 'he looked at me funny and i kicked his head in' stuff, like those dodgy gangster books. There was one part when he mentioned he started on a bloke, tris tried to move on, and Towers had to go back to it to confirm that he kicked his head in.
