Groves convincingly beat Murray 4 1/2 years ago without a hint of a world title on the line, just some insignificant international title.

For the dull Saunders it's a full blown world title defence and Murray had only got worse

handsofstone is 100% right, Saunders had a good career up until Andy Lee and it's been a total disappointment since. Sure he travelled to Canada to pull off a few cute moves against the dangerous Lemieux, but still stunk and ran like a thief. Hardly anyone wants to watch him.

The guy comes over as very entitled and whilst some posters highlighted him fighting dirty against Murray, Buncey sugar coated it by describing it as "dark arts"...Saunders complained to Mike Costello afterwards that the referee was against him :oo

Surprised I seem to have enjoyed the fight a lot more than most. Maybe it’s just because I don’t like Murray and seeing him get outclassed was enough for me to enjoy it. All those years arguing with Horse about how Murray didn’t deserve to be so high in his P4P list really turned me off him

Shut up Johnny
Amen. Would say I couldn't believe it when he said that but knowing Nelson's punditry I wasn't shocked, says it all. I do enjoy watching Tennyson however, exciting fighter but please be sensible Johnny ffs.
 he's saying GERVONTA Davis?!  oh, Johnny

Angelo Dragone broke his jaw in his fight against Dixon. Tough bloke as he clearly didn’t want to get stopped.

Re: Billy Joe his next fight has to be a challenge and he needs to fight on the regular. If for whatever reason he can’t land a big fight next then they should try and get the mandatory out of the way by February I think.

Dragones jaw probably went in the last 45 seconds. He looked hurt and ragged and was getting punched around the ring toward the end of the fight.

Actually it was just the fight BJS needed, low risk but perfect for a warm up to brush off the cobwebs,

Now he needs to fight soon to keep the momentum going, lots of decent fights out there, Eubank, Jacobs, Smith, Alverez, GGG, Plant, Charlo, Chudinov, Benavides, Andrade, Korobov, Mungala

Tennyson wouldn't last 3 rounds with Gervonta Davis. As for the main event pretty predictable of it being a shut out and me not lasting the full 12 rounds

i think canelo is simply too good for him, never thought saunders was this master boxer a lot seem to think, those ppl are all very selective with his performances
I say he IS this master boxer !

He’s 30-0 2 wt. WC and an underachieving waste of talent.
If he ate right and lived the life he’d just be moving up to MW now ! He’d be 35-0 and having beaten a load of good names at SW
He isn’t that obviously, but it’s not ‘cos of a lack of skillz.
lol im not a casual mate, 2 weights means eff all when you win it vs the like of isufi, fair enough if that impresses you

he's good but not beating nelo
I know he's not beating Canelo for any number of reasons - too small, lacks power, judges in pocket, bad nutrition, ace pharmaceuticals, big-fight experience, doesn't live the life, we could go on and on..
But 'mastery-of-boxing-technique' ?
That is not the reason he won't beat Canelo

The only fight I would actually want to watch involving Saunders is against David Benavidez. Benavidez won't 'eff about and throws a lot of quick punches, so Saunders will have to do more than he has been for years.
