Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
It’s abundantly clear that Yade sincerely believes he absolutely dominated Lyndon Arthur, when this clearly wasn’t the case!!!
And let’s not forget that Yarde has never beaten any top-ten rated UK or European opponent.
And Yarde’s only victories within the last 21 months came against two opponents that had failed to win a combined total of 55 from their 75 bouts.

I fear that Yarde is just too immature/inexperienced/egoic to look at things rationally.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑05 Dec 2020, 22:11It’s abundantly clear that Yade sincerely believes he absolutely dominated Lyndon Arthur, when this clearly wasn’t the case!!!CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑05 Dec 2020, 21:40You can forgive a guy for having a blinkered view in the immediate aftermath of an unexpected defeat especially if he’s surrounded by sycophants.
In the cold light of day when he’s taken time to reflect I’m sure he’ll see things differently.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
It's fine losing to Kovalev who was once a formidable champion, but Yarde has just had a sobering reality check on his true standing in the sport...and it doesn't match up with his inflated ego's.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
Fact is Yarde would beat the absolute shite out of me but I can't help but thinking he doesn't know what he's doing in there, especially when he is making ineffective posture moves. He's main strength is his fitness and his delusional mindset.

Yarde needs to grow up.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
Arthur's post fight interview worth a mention too. He was gracious, said it was close and that he wouldn't have complained if it had gone the other way. When he said that, yarde checked himself for a second before he started whining again. Arthur looks like the worst kind of street thug but he's actually an honourable and modest man. A gent and I hope he gets big fights out of this.

Arthur win for me too, he has a nice jab and controlled the fight in the main.

Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
It was a pretty boring fight - whilst Arthur jabbed well he didn’t do anything else and Yarde barely had threw anything outside of a couple of rounds.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑05 Dec 2020, 20:59 There’s definitely a rematch clause.
BT Sport cannot possibly pretend Yarde is a world-beater when his record is terrible.
Whilst there will almost certainly be more action in a rematch I’m not particularly fussed by it.

Allegedly"s two potential cash cows done in the space of a week
They don't have a decent win on their record between them.
Fight selection for both guys has been questionable at best

Lyndon won that by at least four rounds! Yarde corner offered nothing but” stay calm” “ lions in the camp” “ shoot the right hand”. That’s all I heard between one Round! Other time I heard ... get him on the ropes ... haha .... sort of things you hear in the pub when you watching fights! Yarde needs a new coach, someone who can teach him the pro tricks rather than rely on power! Arthur is credit to himself, dignified, Manchester proud of him an yet another great boxer out of collyhurst an moston . If only yard learnt the sweet science there , together with his power.

Ian John Lewis I’m sure a great bloke but is judging again questionable like last week
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
While we are all aware the board won't allow refs and judges to be interviewed regarding their decisions isn't it about time they issued post fight statements for the media explaining decisions. Right or wrong.
IJL is an incompetent clown.
We say it after every bout he is involved with.
We can't all be wrong.

Also must John Rawlings commentary last night an week before is all about the favourite rather than simply sticking to what’s happening in front of him , as if he has to favour the hype job. Out of all of them, I prefer John but slipping lately for me with the cheerleading. Andy Lee Supurb on gantry, knows his boxing obviously but explains the nuances simply .

I thought Andy Lee and David Haye were good last night. Haye’s comments about Ali shouting before he actually delivers the punch was bang on, as was he was comment about Yarde suffering due to a lack sparring.markinmidd wrote: ↑06 Dec 2020, 06:53 Also must John Rawlings commentary last night an week before is all about the favourite rather than simply sticking to what’s happening in front of him , as if he has to favour the hype job. No doubt IJL’s scorecard was “reflective of his own opinion” and therefore cannot possibly be called into question

Yarde needs something new, he didn't have an established amateur career and blasted his way through most of his early pro fights. He is obviously very athletic and strong and that can get you so far but those quick wins don't teach you much.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Lyndon Arthur - 5 December 2020
This is what happens when you don't spar. Can't even unlock a one-armed guy. He needs to fack off this Tunde chancer and get some trainers in the camp

Yarde is full of hot air frankly - more like a house cat than a lion !

Good postCaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑05 Dec 2020, 20:12 Very close, couldn’t argue either way but I’m glad Arthur got it - I thought he just deserved it. Shocking scorecard from IJL to add to the shocking one in Dubois favour last week. Skulllduggery is clearly afoot and we all know what or more accurately who the common denominator is.
Tunde is stealing a living. He can remember all the moves of a primary school girls playground handclap game with Yarde before the bell for round one yet twice he can’t remember to give him his gumshield. I would love to hear Pat Barrett’s opinion of his rival cornerman

2: point out, help and explain to their fighters how to exploit their opponents weaknesses and mistakes they are making during the contests
3: and finally and very importantly remember to put their fu king fighters gum shield back in before the start of each round![]()
