I canned everything back in March and went with IPTV at £50 a year. Would never go back! I get everything I could want, every tv channel or PPV anywhere and a load of movies and series etc as well. Its the future.
Is that illegal though? Not that I’m particularly bothered, just wondering.
I believe it is, although I think the person broadcasting it is the one breaking the law. Could be wrong though.
Sounds pretty good to be fair.
I'd just be worried about it getting shut down and being left with nothing and having to start up again with sky, netflix, etc...

That’s true. It’s the host that’s doing the illegal bit..

Who do you pay the £50 or whatever it is? If it’s an illegal service, what rights do you have if it gets shut down / doesn’t work / just stops?

They will need strong content.. But it's not gonna be easy... Sky and BT have a lot of different sports covered, leagues etc..

What's left?

They'd need to offer big bucks.

Football fans won't be happy is DAZN gets some games.

Sky, BT already share the games.. Amazon got in there too..
Amazon got there mucky little paws on some rugby too, I missed the England vs France match at the weekend because of them.

We used to just pay a load of money to sky and that had us covered.

Now we need to pay for sky, a bt payment on top of that, amazon are already getting a foot in the door, Netflix and Disney will soon follow I'm sure, not to mention dazn and espn.

'streaming is the future' they said, bloody expensive future I say.

Yes I just did a £10 month trial with it, download the app on your smart TV, or phone or fire stick etc
Looks like everything is there, quality good as well - but I don’t think you can record any of the shows which is a pain when you’re getting 4 am fight broadcasts

Who has the deepest pockets ? DAZNs big pile of cash is reportedly dwindling, BT are huge but maybe not with an appetite to match, Amazon has the biggest pot and a lust for global hegemony. Interesting times ....

Looking into this in Spain it seems it's a free month and 9.99 after that.

I can't find this 1.99 deal

GGG-Kamil
Canelo-Smith
Garcia-Campbell

And then eventually other Matchroom USA and GBP cards.

They have archive boxing aswell. It’s literally just boxing. I think that’s why it’s only £2 yet..

It's well worth 1.99 a month but not sure how long that intro offer lasts. On current output i wouldn't pay 9.99 a month for it. Although i live in London and that's not even 2 pints so :maybe:

Well, you’d be paying a lot more those fights if they were on Sky.

Sorry for being pedantic but there's no way it would be £24.95 on Sky Box Office and £1.99 on DAZN. There's more chance of the Queen going on the game than that lop hole being available.

Unfortunately I get sent straight to the more expensive Spanish version! Which does include football and motorbike racing!

How much would be reasonable to pay per

Does DAZN need to win a UK football contract to be a success?
Just downloaded the Dazn U.K. app. £1.99 a month. Canelo vs Smith next week.

There's also been boxing on fite.tv of late and Spence/Garcia was available on Premier Sports.
Not sure if they are subscriptions or you can just do a one off payment.
More services just mean more money to shell out for boxing fans.

Well I already pay for Sky sports, along with BT sport, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Youtube premium and now Dazn. I refuse to buy PPV fights. Might consider Fury - Joshua though

I know what "allegedly" refers to on here! :OhYes:
But yeah I realised it was on "Allegedly" but I wasn't sure if I still had it as I recently renewed my BT package and they've changed a load of the channels, but it's still there luckily.

However it doesn't bode well that there is potentially another avenue for boxing events.

My company got bought by sky last year so suddenly I had the whole package free for about a year, felt a bit uncomfortable as I can’t stand sky tbh, but then lost my job due to pandemic - which felt even more uncomfortable LOL

Well I’m sure cancelling them now - and BT

I’ll go with DAZN
