So, how these fights would've pan out?
In 2012 Martinez vs Golovkin @ 160 lbs ?
In 2013 Froch vs Golovkin @ 168 lbs or 165 lbs c/w?
In 2014 Canelo vs Golovkin @ 155-156 lbs c/w?
2017 and 2018 Canelo vs GGG fights was topapollo creed wrote: ↑12 Dec 2020, 09:00 Imo these would've been Golovkin's best ideal matches when he was younger.

Yes but Golovkin was 34-35 y/oCent0089 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2020, 09:462017 and 2018 Canelo vs GGG fights was topapollo creed wrote: ↑12 Dec 2020, 09:00 Imo these would've been Golovkin's best ideal matches when he was younger.

A better version of him against a lesser version of Canelo is a no brainer as to how it would go.
I think he would've beaten Martinez too.
Froch would've been a handful for him. That one would've been real interesting.
haven't seen ggg in trouble ever, maybe i missed sumthin? always thunk he would've grinded him down back to back, cause sure as hell froch would've forced the immediate rematch.apollo creed wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 09:07gilgamesh wrote: ↑12 Dec 2020, 15:31 Golovkin beat Canelo in the 2 fights they had (the 1st one undeniably, the 2nd one arguably). There is no doubt that Golovkin won the first fight with Canelo. That draw it's in the same saga with the MD in the fight with FMJ where Canelo pretty much was outclassed.
As well I think that a younger Golovkin would beat Martinez and Canelo (and have better chance to stop him to get the win.
Froch vs Golovkin in 2013 would be a tough match. At 168 lbs it would be a 60-40 fight in favor of Froch. Froch was so damn tough, relentless and awkward.
TBH Golovkin looked poor vs Chenko and he got hurt to the body. But people forget that he was 37 y/o fighter with lots of miles on the clock.adislav123 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 09:54haven't seen ggg in trouble ever, maybe i missed sumthin? always thunk he would've grinded him down back to back, cause sure as hell froch would've forced the immediate rematch.apollo creed wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 09:07gilgamesh wrote: ↑12 Dec 2020, 15:31 Golovkin beat Canelo in the 2 fights they had (the 1st one undeniably, the 2nd one arguably). as of canelo loosing back to back vs ggg. it can't be said often enough as everybody new to the sport sees the opposite on record.
first fight was clear, second one with ggg as defending champion too. no way canelo did enough to deservedly take those belts off ggg.
Froch was past-his-prime in 2013. And he competed in his final outing during May 2014.apollo creed wrote: ↑14 Dec 2020, 08:48Froch was still game and a top-notch smw in 2013 with top wins. Only some completely delusional pudenda would think Froch wasn't a top-notch operator in 2013.![]()
