His 3 best wins are against fielding a 1 armed completely knackered groves and arguably the worst robbery decision of recent years against Ryder outside of that he's laboured to wins over poor barely euro level opposition he's not very good at all and is going to be completely weight drained even if he's manages to go the distance will be an achievement if he wins then it will have to go down as the biggest ever upset by a British fighter canelo is arguably p4p No1 and the biggest draw in boxing by a country mile
Are you expecting a McDonnell v Inoue type of situation?

Whilst Williams said that Smith had only earlier arrived - and I know sparring is only sparring - its still concerning that a 6 fight novice can get inside. Both guys are fighting on the same night so youd expect them to be similarly prepared for fight night.
Ammo Williams has only been boxing about 5 years according to commentators on his last fight. He isn't even someone who "gets inside". He hurts a guy and he has to step back at range. He can't fight on the inside. So I'm not sure what "inside" he's referring to.

What time does everyone think the ring walk will be? 4am UK is 10pm Texas - can't imagine theyll have it go off too late with CV19 and all that? I try to time these things right as I can wake up once and that's it! Alarm clock and sofa jobbie!

I’m guessing Dazn won’t stay £1.99 for too long🤔

As long as it just shows boxing, it will be £1.99.. Plus in the UK, we're only getting GBP and Matchroom USA cards for now, which are daft o'clock for us. Not getting any boxing in primetime yet..

When that changes and when they start putting more sports on there, if they do, they'll then increase it.

Who knows, guys like DH Promotions, Hennessy and a few other UK promoters might jump on DAZN..

NoxBation had tonnes to offer though.

They don’t have much on DAZN UK at the moment.. they should look at buying archive footage. But even then, at the moment, the content isn’t worth much.

Not saying they won’t increase is soon.. I say give it til Spring. It’ll be up.

They’ve got a fair bit of archive stuff on there, I’m enjoying watching through it at the minute.

It’s definitely going up soon, I’m sure of that.

I dont think anyone will be surprised at all when DAZN significantly raise the price from £1.99 a month.

The real question is what it will be. I`m thinking £15-20 a month within 6 months.

No chance. Not if they want to achieve what they are trying to achieve

It will be inexpensive until they get EPL rights. Then the price will crank up hard and I will cancel.

I think 15-20 will be more like it , I can see your point but there is so much shortsightedness just as there is with ppv , look at the last Joshua fight , bet it was streamed to death but if they'd of charged a tenner what would have been the uptake ?

If they can get a big enough subscriber base they'll get bought out or list. That's the direction I think they will be looking.

Any more thoughts on smith’s likelihood to be drained ? I heard talk that he was ‘prepared’ for canelo for much of this year. Anyone else know more on this?

I’m considering a chunky bet on Canelo 9-12 but if Smith is a shell he could fall sooner to a big body attack.

I think he’s much comfier at the weight than people like to make out. Also I’m fairly sure he’s been expecting this fight all year and kept himself on weight or thereabouts.

It's a bit of a stretch isn't it ?

Smith is good, but he's possibly the worst unbeaten world champion that's huge at the weight there is. I'd have (wrongly) given him a great chance before Kovalev/Ryder, but how can you give him much of a chance now ?

Canelo has stood up well to GGG and Kov, while Smith's size and power was nullified by Ryder. I can see Smith doing himself proud and making a fight of it, but actually win ?!
He's gotta get a KO or win 9 rounds big and 3 close to get a dec - what price do you need for him to do that ?
