Castillo won the 1st fight with Mayweather more clearly than Floyd won the rematch.

that fury vs Mcdermott 1 was a "robbery". The most overused expression in boxing imo (actually, maybe the term "bum"). i get it if people think big john won, but to me a "robbery" is a fight where the winner gets awarded at least 3 rounds he CLEARLY lost. it was only a 10 round fight, i gave fury the first two and the last two, and a few of the middle ones were open to debate depending on what you liked. So a "robbery" is just too extreme. I sometimes think in those types of situations, people are so surprised to see the unfancied fighter is having success, they then only see things one way. Also didn't think Fury got the credit he deserved for taking the fight so early on but thats by the by.

Good post. I had John winning but wasn't screaming murder when it went the other way. Realistically it doesn't matter anyway. Like you say, Fury took the fight early on, we already knew John's level and even if he'd been given the win it'd not have held Fury back.

i think it was the ridiculous 8-2 card that set it off most, more than fury being the fancied guy. just made it looked like it was prearranged crookedness. who the hell else scored it that way? if fury had gotten say 96-95 it wouldve been more accepted

i think john just nicked it but fair play tyson fought him right again and stopped him

tyson's had 3 rematches of fights that went the distance and he won by stoppage in all of them, he is a smart fighter who knows how to adapt

Terry almost always does the right thing for the business that is boxing. At least he doesn't try and kid people on it's a sport.

I've seen many comments with people saying Lewis beat Holyfield in the first bout, but Holyfield deserved the rematch.

Lots of journalists ringside scored it for Holyfield.

I haven’t watched it back since and don’t believe I scored it round by round on the night, but I do distinctly remember being very worried that Lennox had let the rematch slip away from him on the cards.

Groves was in many ways doing better in the Froch rematch than he was in the first fight. For me, he was 1 round down but was fighting at a much more controlled pace and was coming on stronger. Fight 1, he had a big lead (possibly unassailable on the cards) but was tiring and it would have been interesting had the fight continued.

Fury vs Klitchsko was razor tight.

Only fighter to run Mayweather close of Oscar De La Hoya.

Oscar is probably the fighter with the most "wrong" decision - some going for him, some going against him.

Robin Reid was NOT robbed against Ottke by the JUDGES going on the ref's call. Ottke was more underated than people give him credit and a fight with Joe would have been interesting. Yes, I would have favoured Joe but I think Ottke would have had some moments. He was clearly a lot tricker then people give him credit for - I think most people see Joe's work rate, size and power being too much for Ottke - but why didn't the likes of Mitchell, Brewer, Lardsen etc - good fighters just adopt those "be first" tactics.

Lewis won the first but, imo, holyfield won the rematch but with all the controversy of the first lewis was never gonna lose that fight.

I disagree with most, who think Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis are the #1 and #2 greatest Heavyweights of all time. I've only jumped ship recently, after many decades of thought on the subject.

Well, this is my cases:
Ward vs Kovalev 1 was not a robbery, but ward should be DQ in rematch
Chris Eubank jr won against Saunders, he is very underrated
I am big fan of Canelo Alvarez since maybe 2010 (most of boxrec users hate him :D )
Losing last rounds have huge impact on the decision, that is reason i had Mosley winning both fights against De la Hoya
Wilder won first fight against Fury (not saying BS like it was a KO, but ive had him winning close decision)
Manny Pacqiao is top 3 ATG
Only robbery in Canelo record is first GGG fight, he won against Trout, Lara, and GGG rematch

Bjs beat Jr comfortably. I honestly don’t know what you watched. 7-5 at the very least.
