OR
A former boxer , who has an history of falling out with his boxers , has been proven to over charge

his fighters , and spend his fighters money on frivilous things , used his boxers money to pay his familly wages and is an arrogant prick surviving on his good name he earnt many years ago .

Personaly i know who i would go with , and it would'nt be Mcguigan ,,, would the fact that Kinnahann is a gangster bother me , not in the least , unless he flys me out to Dubai , chaces are i'm never gonna meet him anyway ,,
I like McGuigan.

Think he tried to set up a situation off the back off his reputation guiding quality fighters into a brand against the big boys that has backfired and has him looking like a resentful coming of age schoolboy.

There’s no doubt that MTK look after their fighters but that’s no defence for anyone who’s with them to defend them.

Ignoring all the murders, drug dealing & getting boxing banned in Ireland is a bit like a former patient of Harold Shipman saying he was a great bloke as he got my cancer early ignoring the damage he’s doing to everyone else.

It’s all well & good getting your extra 5 or 10% or whatever it is now but what you going to do when it all comes crashing down? Grass or go to jail for money laundering. Ignorance isn’t a defence it’s all over the media what he gets up to. Macklin & the rest that used to go to the gym in Marbella will know loads about what went off.

I do have a degree of sympathy for many of the young fighters who sign with them particularly the Irish ones who can’t fight at home so MTK’s pretty much the only option (even though they’ve caused no boxing in Ireland) but there’s no way anyone can defend Fury, Saunders, Taylor, Frampton & any other big names that are with them.

For the Hutch’s that want revenge what happens if they continue to not be able to get to Kinahan in Dubai? Do they go after a soft target like the Kinahan’s did with them? What better way to harm them than to take out one of Kinahan’s big names? The ones in Belfast would be easy targets for example.

As for the post about it not effecting boxing. It has already, fighters can’t fight in Ireland, Katie Taylor’s dad was shot at his gym, Jamie Kavanagh’s dad & uncle were shot dead (I think they did his corner), Jamie Moore’s been shot. It’s a ticking time bomb before before someone else in boxing gets shot or killed.

Yeah not sure what all the fuss is about, apart from murdering everyone in their way the Kinahans come across as a great management team. Absolute Gents to deal with, as Frank and Eddie put it, and just a bit misunderstood.

The fact that he deals drugs(allegedly) doesnt bother me, i take drugs, ive got mates that are dealers as i imagine most on here do, the fact that Kinahan supposedly does it on a bigger scale is morally no different

The alleged murdering though.... :maybe:

Looking back on that thread, Big John hasn’t become a PR disaster. He’s very popular and selling out ‘evenings with’ on his own.

World champion boxer Billy Joe Saunders posts angry Tweets following Daniel Kinahan Panorama programme

Lawyers for MTK Global told the programme: "It is true that Mr Kinahan provides some personal advice to a number of boxers managed by MTK Global and we are instructed that Mr Kinahan also provides such advisory services to boxers who are managed by other worldwide boxing management companies too."

Following the show being broadcast, Billy Joe Saunders posted a number of derogatory tweets on Twitter regarding both the programme and Mr McGuigan, who lost Belfast boxer, Carl Frampton to MTK Global in 2017.

Among the comments written by Mr Saunders was: "What a lode of rubbish Irish Government corruption . If a man has done all this with no criminal record and helps out the homeless and sending cancer patients to get cured. Why hasn’t he been put in prison Rubbish".

In other comments, the boxer said Mr McGuigan should give himself "a good look in the mirror".

A spokesman for Panorama said: "We stand by our journalism".

Mistaken identity but rumoured to have been made better by a plastic bag full of cash, a gym and a stable of fighters.

BBBofC statement: "We are dealing with someone who has not been licensed or convicted of anything"

British Boxing Board of Control says it has no control over Daniel Kinahan

The British Boxing Board of Control says it cannot prevent the role Daniel Kinahan continues to play in the sport.

General secretary of the board, Robert Smith told The Guardian that they don't have the authority to make sure Kinahan has no more involvement in boxing.

"Wrongly or rightly, as far as I am aware, he has not been convicted of any offence," declared Smith.

The BBC aired a one hour programme on Monday night into the rise of the 43-year-old as an advisor to some of the most well-known boxers, including world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

It was revealed in June of last year that Fury would no longer be represented by Kinahan in negotiations over his planned fight with Anthony Joshua following a public outcry at the news.

However, in Monday’s Panorama programme it was confirmed by lawyers acting for the management company MTK Global that Kinahan is still advising fighters.

"It was disappointing for the sport, obviously," BBBofC steward Robert Smith told the Guardian.

"But the gentleman is not licensed by the British Boxing Board in any capacity.

"We don’t license MTK as a promoter. We license individuals so the named promoter is Lee Eaton [who works for MTK] and he is the only person we deal with."

Kinahan does not require a professional boxing licence if he is acting as an advisor, unlike promoters, managers, trainers and fighters.

MTK Global, formerly known as MGM, represents around 250 fighters in Ireland, Britain, Europe and America.

It had been previously reported that Kinahan severed ties with MTK in 2017 but the BBC investigation confirmed what many people already knew.

In his interview with Donald McRae, Smith said the British Boxing Board of Control was powerless to stop Kinahan from having a working relationship with boxers.

"Wrongly or rightly, as far as I am aware, he has not been convicted of any offence.

"That makes things very difficult and we have to let the authorities take the upper hand.

"Obviously there are things we are not happy about. Things were raised which give us some concerns we may have to look into.

"But ultimately my feeling after watching it is that this is a matter for the Irish authorities.

"He is not licensed with us. He’s not licensed in Ireland. We can’t stop people taking advice from private individuals. That would be impossible.

"The programme hasn’t done the sport any good but we’ll move on and take any steps that are necessary.

"But I think it’s down to the authorities in Ireland to deal with the matter."

Kinahan’s lawyers told the BBC he has no criminal convictions and dismissed the "wild" and "false" allegations against him.

Robert Smith also stated that the British Boxing Board has no power over WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

"The issue with Tyson Fury is he is not licensed with the British Boxing Board. After his first world title fight with Deontay Wilder [in 2018], when he was licensed with us, Fury decided that due to the fact that he was going to be boxing in America for the next year or two, he would relinquish his British licence and box under a Nevada licence. So we have no jurisdiction over him."

Asked about if Sky Sports and BT Sport should address the subject, Smith added, "That is a matter for each company but it comes down to the same thing. We are dealing with someone who has not been licensed or convicted of anything.

"It just hasn’t done the sport any good at all. We’re going through a period where the sport has come together.

"To get boxing up and running again [in a pandemic] has been no mean feat. Boxing is more popular now than it has been for a long time and this does not help."

Kinahan has been described in the High Court as the leader of the Kinahan organised crime group and but has no criminal convictions and strongly denies being involved in organised crime.

The BBBoC can’t even stop their own judges handing in dodgy scorecards, they’re hardly likely to take down organised crime.

Isnt is just a case for us boxing fans that historically the sports seeped in illegal activities so we dont actually care as long as their doing good by the fighters? Maybe once it starts affecting stuff in the ring we might start getting pissed off

The Irish named him in court as running the gang so I assume he'd at least be charged with something gangland related in Ireland if he ever set foot there again.

If there was anymore proof needed that Billy Joe Saunders is vile cretin then he's provided it by posting disgusting references about McGuigan's daughter who died of cancer last year, scumbag of the highest order, Hearn needs to bin him, thats overstepped the mark by a country mile

Saunders is evil. No two ways about it. I want him gone from the sport. No promoter should touch him now. That’s as low as it gets.
