Yes, sorry. Askren's striking is woeful. Comically bad, almost on a level with Rousey's. No disrepected intended but even I can see that he's not remotely good at striking.

He's handpicked for that reason and the reason it's a "boxing" match rather than an MMA match where Askren would be able to grapple and/or shoot for takedowns or use his legs.

Whatever happened to McGregor definitively being arrested in Ireland?

At least somebody remembers that thread. I'm not one to boast on fights, but I took a hiding on Irish law ignorance there.

No charges have ever been filed. That wouldnt be the case if he was arrested years ago, would it?

 he'll just wrestle-fvck him to death, surely? unless the fix is in?
Was going to say ‘hard to wrestle-f*ck someone in a boxing match’, but then I remembered John Ruiz
aaaaaah sh1t it's boxing.

for some reason, on an mma thread, i thought it might be an MMA fight being referred to, i imagine wishful thinking lead to me jumping on the possibility of Paul getting ragdolled and g'n'p to death
Just how bad is Askren’s striking? I’ve only ever watched his UFC fights, and he looks to have CM Punk level striking

Great fight by Ferreira/Dariush

No way it deserved to be split though. Thought it was pretty clearly 3-0 to Dariush

Yea I didn't get that either. Seemed like 3-0 Dariush but not a single judge had it that way and one managed to give the fight to Ferreira?

Was thinking about it last night. Not sure where they are situated to each other, but was wondering if the judges could overhear the commentary in that small, empty venue.

DC and Cruz were giving Ferreira a lot of props for heeding his corner's advice in switching striking tactics, and deservedly so.

Ferreira indeed fought admirably in that last round, but no where near effectively enough to take it away from Dariush

Minner vs Rosa was a good fight on UFC Fight Night 2/20. Featherweight bout. A lot of high level grappling. Really great pace.

Ronnie Lawrence made a nice debut on the prelims of UFC Fight Night 2/27. Skilled, athletic, and aggressive fighter. Check him out.

Rogan has caught cormiers addiction for saying "oh my goodness". Over/under between them for a full card is 100.5. nothing like it since Lennox and "definitely". It's terrible.

Could nunez cross over and win a boxing world title?

If she fully commited to boxing for 9-12 months could nunes win a boxing world title. She seems to have an athletisim thats so rare in womens combat sports. just a powerfull athlete. she is the one MMA crossover that i think might be able to, mens is far to high levle to be posible, but womens, with the levle its at, a freak athlete like amanda might jsut be capable.

Dont think she will though, im guessing shes happy making 500k+ to bash people over at the UFC.
