Re: AJ dropped in sparring...
i'm predicting IF golovkin doesn't exceed his career beyond a point...
whatever!
just wanted to say that golovkin's chin (riding the shots by subtle head movemoments, nonetheless it seems he's getting hit FLUSH) is freakin cast iron. nobody drops gennadyi!
the freakin' pound for pound number one 'BEST' boxer in the whole wide world, didn't get as far as make him buckle his knees even ONCE, despite eating shots full on from canelo. he chewd em' up like candy!
GENNADYI RATTLED CANELO COUPLE OF TIMES in both fights.
Golovkin beat canelo twice.
back to back!
nobody puts ggg on his ass. not in the foreseeable future.
whatever!

If Joshua had to fight 10 rounds every day with his last 5 pro opponents I'm sure he would go down a lot of times, although not as many as them.
It is easy to imaging a top fighter gassing and getting clipped by a freshly rested sparring partner under these circumstances.
Train over and above what you expect to face.
Re: AJ dropped in sparring...
yea every fighter has gone down in sparring iam sure as its somewhere you try something different and learn ,that it is best not do that with out any repercussions, the only time i would take something seriously in sparring if you kept getting knock down

Re: AJ dropped in sparring...
As a couple of people have already said sparring is where you try out new things and can make mistakes as well as sparring fresh boxers when you are knackered. So it's to be expected and I don't know what the big deal is.
Particularly with AJ where you get the impression he tries to fight exactly to instructions even when it is clearly not intuitive for him.
It would like fans being shocked at seeing a boxer completely exhausted gasping for breath after a mid camp training session and predicting they will lose their fight due to terrible stamina. You go through stuff in training so that you avoid going through it in the fight.
As the saying goes - train hard, fight easy.
